On 10/20/09 I went on line to get tickets for the Elton John Billy Joel concert at the Sprint Center in KC.(I have never bought any tickets on line before)I was having trouble finding info. for the concert site when I got connected to Jumbo tickets. I thought the prices were kind on high but I thought two great performers.

So I bought the tickets thinking the show would get sold out. I thought I was dealing with a reputable site.Three days later I heard tickets were going on sale. I thought that was strange I had already bought mine, so I checked with another source (ticket Master) and got sick! I paied $219.00 for each ticket plus a "service fee" of $43.80 for each ticket plus $15.00 delivery for a grand total of $540.60. I could have got two seats in the same section for $224.80 total.$316.00 cheaper.

Yes I an an idiot. I just diden't know better. I do feel the web site was deceptive. I did call the customer service number and was told there nothing thay could do. Live and learn I guess. But I thought there was a law aginist this kind of price gouging, isn't this scalping?

I thought I was purchasing concert tickets directly from the Iron Stone Vineyards website. After searching and selecting tickets, I was linked to the clubticketsdirect website for the purchase under the banner JUMBO TICKETS. I went back to the Iron Stone website and realized that their tickets weren't going on sale for three days and would be $65 a ticket. I had been charged $120 a ticket plus $22 per ticket service fee plus $15 delivery fee.

I tried several times to call clubticketsdirect only to be put on hold indefinitely every time. I held for over 30 minutes each time and never reached a live person. I also never received a confirmation e-mail. I called my credit card company and was told if I didn't receive the tickets in one week to file a dispute. I ended up paying $821 for six tickets that would have cost $390 directly from Iron Stone.

Bought concert tickets online from what I thought was the Hollywood Bowl website and that I was getting the tickets direct. I paid $500.00 for 2 tickets. The next day I found out that the tickets hadn't gone on sale yet, so I contacted my credit card co. and they confirmed a charge for $500. from Club Tickets.

I called them and found out that I had pre-ordered tickets from this agency and that I paid $250. each for seats valued at $65. ea and if I cancelled it would cost me $195.00. So I cancelled. 3 days later the balance was not removed from my credit card so I called them and they told me that in order to get my money back I had to reply to an email they sent me stating that I accept the agreement to pay the $195. cancellation fee. That made me think twice about hastily sending them my agreement in writing, and decided to contact Consumer Affairs first. Is there any way I can get out of this or should I just pay the cancellation fee and be done with it?
