Sharon of New York, NY on May 31, 2007
Due to the misleading and discriminatory practices used by Concord Mortgage in my application for the financing of a home purchase, which began on April 4th 2007, with you getting my credit report and scores and with you telling me that you will do a 100% financing at 6% interest rate, and which continued to my last conversation with you on May 23rd when you quoted me a rate of 7.5% (because you said, the loan amount is so low?) that I did not accept and you then told me dont worry about the rate, I will get you a better rate so that your payment is under $500.00?, and continued further to my unreturned repeated telephone calls to you on May 24th, 25th and 29th for the Good Faith Estimate?, Truth in Lending? and commitment letter documents, I do not require the services of Concord Mortgage.
You have received all pertinent documentation from me but you failed to provide the documents a lender is required to provide under the law of New York.
This matter has been forwarded to my Attorney for handling as there has been an appraisal done on the property by an appraiser initiated by Concord that I have tried to obtain from you.
My Sale contract required a commitment letter for the loan amount by May 31. 2007. My attorney had to ask for an extension .
I had another approval from another lender prior to contacting Concord. As result of the abrupt unresponsiveness from Concord, I re-established my loan request with the other lender on May 29th. They will try to complete everything by my contract required close date of June 19, 2007.
The rate I could have gotten, less than 6.0%, was no longer available on May 29th as rates started to rise in the New York Market the week of May 14th.
I have to expend much more on closing costs for the lender alone as I wasnted to get my rate near 6%.
I do not know what Concord Mortgage is up to, but the long-term implication of them have my personal information, as well as the sale contract and appraisal is indeterminable
