trying to get mortgage on house i already had found. kept leading me on and giving me runarounds for over 3 months. until i decided to go try a different company. couldnt get any straight forward answers. i had purchase greement, earnest money paid, he had me fill out 2 different loan applications, saying the 1st one was the wrong form.
still dont have my home, the home i am currently renting, already has someone waiting to move in. i need a place to live.
My present mortgage was drawn up by a broker and I was told there would be a 1 year pre-payment penalty maximum, but when the clerk, not a lawyer came to house, she was in a hurry to another closing and we signed the papers, checked that it was a 30 year fixed but found out later it was a 30 year fixed jumbo with a 5 year pre-payment penalty. Global Mortgage says my records are not available at their Connecticut location so it can't be verified. Well, I've been trying to refinance and get a delay on the mortgage as I am on the verge of succeeding at a business venture that will bring in future monies but things are tough now and when I applied for the mortgage, I was told that my present mortgage had a 5 year pre-payment penalty.
Tried to force me to pay appraiser, threatened me with a lien on my home if I didn't comply. Refused to get me a closing in a timely manner, sent me an invoice for almost $6000 including broker fees on a loan never closed.
