SSB discussed transferring my mother's fixed annuity from her bank to SSB. I was there during the conversation. When they sent her the necessary forms to sign, she didn't realize it until it was too late that they wrote it up as a variable annuity. I have sent complaint letters to everyone, but no success. Because of it, I have pulled out all of my 401K money.
She lost thousands of dollars.
