Consumer Complaints & Reviews

I contacted Tax Care Professionals to assist my husband and I with IRS and State Taxes. They charged $4500.00 and did nothing that I couldn't do myself! In fact, after numerous emails and phone calls to their office requesting status that went unanswered, I ended up with an IRS levy to the bank account. I immediately contacted the IRS and had the levy removed, set up a payment plan, but ended up losing the statute time to file an appeal to an IRS investigation/audit that would have ultimately been in our favor.

I requested Tax Care Professionals to send me our entire file and enclosed a check to cover all costs to copy the file. They refused to do this stating that all the information that I provided them and any notes they had are not my file. It was their property. So anyone who wishes to file a complaint and a class action suit against these thieves, count me in!

My husband began working with this company a couple of years ago, and gave them over $4000 to resolve the tax debt. After a very long and frustrating process, he was told that the IRS denied the offer in compromise, yet he was never able to get details, or speak with the attorneys who allegedly lobbied on his behalf. Like everyone else on this website, he is not able to get in touch with the company, and nothing has been resolved with the IRS.

These people promised to take care of our $23,000 IRS tax problem. They stole our last $5,000 and we were on a payment plan with IRS. They told us to stop the payments and they would take care of everything. They did nothing. They are on the run with everyone's money and they not only hurt the IRS with helping the IRS lose thousands of dollars, they defrauded the American taxpayers. They caused our credit to be ruined and the IRS to lose the money we had for the IRS. That money was stolen by these thieves and neither the IRS nor we has the money.

On November 20, 2008 I engaged with TCP services. My cost was $10,000 to solve my tax problems. At the time I had a payment plan with the IRS for $500.00 per month. TCP told me to stop making the payments and that my tax issues would be solved. To no avail, after working with them for over a year, nothing was ever done. I ended up with a Levy on my paycheck. The IRS stated that TCP called them once, tried to inflate my numbers and when the IRS asked for proof, TCP hung up on them and never called them back.

Throughout the time I was working with TCP, I continued to ask for a status. Not one email was responded to. As of recent, the phones are either disconnected or you get a ring, no answer. I now am in a worse situation with the IRS and have forced payments of $2000.00 per month (which I do not have).

I will sign up for a class action lawsuit! I am out $4500 here. How about we all go to another tax care attorney that is reputable and have him/her sue Tax Care Professionals and use the payout to pay for our fees? I can't get a hold of anyone at Tax Care Professionals now. No email response from Omar, Lizette, Samantha, Anna, etc. Their phone has a message that it was changed. The number is disconnected. The 866 number is disconnected and their fax # rings and rings. We need to find them and get our money back. Then, there is the matter of how to repair this damage with the IRS who is still pissed at us because nothing has been done with our cases.

I contacted on a tax dept that owed set up payments of 500 a monthfor months payment taken out of my checking acccount. Went to contact them to see the statis of my account.Found ou all the phone # are disconnected.

We contacted Tax Care Pros to help with our IRS debt. They were able to help with the Federal part, but weren't a big help because we still owe the same money just with interest and penatlies. We pay a monthly installement to the federal taxes. They were suppose to help with the State Taxes, as of today 12-7-09, no help on the state taxes. My wife has e-mailed them and some of their e-mail bounced back. Today 12-7-09, she e-mailed for a status and all the e-mails recpts, bounced back. I called and the line is disconnected.

In 2008 I called to get my taxes worked out and I took out a loan from a friend for $3200 to pay for their services. I had good contact with the company until my last payment was recieved. Then they had me request information from the IRS which I did. Then they said that they needed a different paper and would not return calls or emails from me.

Now The number is disconnected and I have not had one single thing done to fix my tax problem. Throughout the process I have continued to make payments to the IRS even though I was told I wouldn't have to. I couldn't take the risk that the IRS would attach my wages since I only have one income. I was to pay my loan back for the $3200 within two months with the money Tax Care Pros said I would receive and the refund from 2007. They also had me file an extention on my taxes which I did and now it has expired.

I have a loan that is unpaid in the amount of $3200 which is now being demanded that I pay it in full. I am still paying out monthly payments to the IRS in the amount od $200 which does not even cover the monthly penalty charges. I have not filed taxes for 2007 per the Tax Care Pros and my extention has expired.

we contacted tax pro back in august of 2007 in an effort to resolve our oustanding taxes from 2002-2006, we paid them over $5600 to process our claimes with the state and the federal tax commissions and settle on an amount due. They kept in good contact with us until the balance we owed them was paid at which time they all of a sudden their phones are disconnected, emails are returned adn they are not responding to any coorespondance that we have sent. The number has been disconnected and the emails have returned as nondeliverable. If aanyone is willing to enter into a class action law suit i am very interested.

I received notice in 2007 that I owed the IRS due to a filing erroe. I was in a panic and stupidly paid TaxCare pros $2000.00 because the agent assured me it was a simple filing error and that they will file correctly and that I absolutely owed the IRS nothing! After THREE attempts, they finally filed it right and I was shocked to have the notify me that "oops" we did owe over 1200,00!!! When I asked for the interest that the IRS charged me, for ONLY the months that they tied me up in due to having to file THREE times to get it right, I was told NO they do not issue refunds.

I have never heard of any ethical business not paying for their OWN errors...we are talking about approx 300.00 that we were charged in interest for the time it took them to get it right! I was misled into hiring them in the first place by false assurances, either their agents are incompetent or purposely mislead people, but I find it infuriating that they do this to honest hard working people that can not afford to be losing money due to their incompetence!

I hired this firm to resolve my tax debt. I was told they work with the IRS to secure an installment plan. I paid them at least $13,000 dollars and nothing was done. I started getting levys against my bank and wages. I communicated with the company appropriately and did not respond to the IRS as directed. When contact was made with the IRS it was discovered that only 2 weeks ago they filed my documents with the IRS to request an installment agreement.

I contacted Tax Care Professionals in early May 2009 and spoke with Michael S. who promised me I would not have to worry about a thing his company would take care of everything for me. He told me to "relax they would work with the IRS so I would have nothing to worry or stress about", I stayed in constant communication with their company and provided EVERY letter from the IRS to them within 48 hours of receiving it.

All requested forms were completed and turned in to the company within 48 hours, I did everything I could to ensure their job was easy and nothing would be held up by me. I continued to get letters from the IRS telling me nothing was getting done. On 8/7/09 I contacted the IRS because I was very concerned they would take actions against me based on the letters I had gotten, when I spoke with the IRS they informed me nothing had been done regarding my federal tax account, and only a payment plan ($250 per month) was set up on my state account (anyone can do this online with the state IRS).

I worked with the federal IRS myself and worked out a payment plan. On 8/7/09 I emailed Tax Care Professionals Client Services department and Michael S. that I wished to discontinue their services and wanted to be contacted regarding a partial refund, I still have never received a response.

I emailed them again on 8/14/09, 8/21/09 and 8/27/09 requesting a contact or partial refund again with no response. They should just do what they know is right and refund my money, they know they didnt even come close to providing the services promised! I am out $1,500 dollars and have had zero tax relief.
