We purchased a brand new sofa set and they delivered the showroom set and we paid for a brand new set. We are certain about this because it has the same exact marks on the couches as well as its worn down. The couches are also damage. The couch is not aligned properly. We spoke to the manager several times and he avoided me in the beginning then said he would take care of it and I still have not heard back from him. He stated he would have a new set delivered and then stop returning our calls. He even gave me his cell number and I still can not get a hold of him.

I purchased the Bernhardt Grand Savannah bedroom on April 26, 2006, which included an Avondale King Canopy bed , dresser with mirror; and two stonetop nightstands. Total cost $10,000. I received the incomplete bedroom set around May 5-10. I was missing one of the stone tops for the nightstand. I was told the stone top would be delivered on July 17, 2006. I have called the company (Home Living 732-205-1998) several times with no response. I contacted Bernhardt directly and they told me that the company (Home Living) has an outstanding bill that must be paid and no order will be shipped to them. On Aug 31, 2006 I was told that they had the stone top and that I could pick it up on Friday Sept 1, 2006. On Friday Sept 1, 2006 the manager Deepak call me and told me it was not in the warehouse and that I would receive it by Sept 5th. Deepak refused to refund me the money to purchase stone top from different vendor. I have left messages for Deepak on Sept 5, 2006 @ 4:23pm (Nicole) and on Sept 7, 2006 @ 12:58pm. I am still waiting for a call back and stone top or refund to purchase stonetop from a different retail vendor.

I had already paid in full with Visa and they called and cancelled the transaction.
I have a copy of the invoice and payment receipt.
When I called them, they were rude and said nothing they can do.

we ordered our daughters bedroom set back in february and were told it would be 4-6 wks for delivery and gave our $800 deposit. after the 6 wks was up including going into june we kept calling to find out what was going on..the girl bree said that the manufacturer had had the collection backordered and it wont be in until october if that. so we went down to get our money back. bree said that they sent a letter to all customers re: this matter on 5/26 but she didnt even have a copy stating that the manufacturer sent them a letter either. she only took our credit card number down and handed us a handwritten receipt that the refund would go thru in 7 days. never swiped it either...when asked why she said the accountant does it.
so when we returned 1 wk later the mananger, tommy, knew nothing of the matter and without hesitation refunded our money to our card but that could have been because he was closing a deal with other customers and his 2 children were there. not to mention that there were going out of business signs posted all over the store.

My wife and I purchased a living room set and a bedroom set for our new apartment. We recently got married and the furniture was supposed to be delivered prior to us getting married. We purchased the furniture on February 20th, 2006. On the receipt the co-owner "Tommy" wrote 2 1/2 weeks. Needless to say, the furniture was not delivered within the specified time. After many phone calls on our half some of the furniture arrived prior to us getting married. The furniture needed to be repaired. As time went on myself and my wife had to call constantly to check the status of our china closet and broken night table. We did not recieve phone calls from the company stating the status of our order, we had to initiate. Even after we ask them to call us back they failed to do so. Also, on a number of occassions the delivery person never showed up when they were suppose to.
We did not recieve a phone call prior stating that they would not be able to make it or a phone call after apologizing for wasting our time. When I showed up in person to speak to Tommy he stated to me that the company that they primarily use is notorious for not delivering the product to him in a timely manner. It was disconcerning to hear this news as this would have been useful knowledge prior to laying out over $3,000. I don't really understand why Home Living Gallaries would continue to use a company knowing that they are unreliable. Maybe it's because they have a wide variety of product which makes it eaiser to please the customer and hense make the sale. However, once the sale is over your s#@$ out of luck as they say.
Recently I spoke with Tommy in person and he stated after I expressed my concern over not recieving my furniture hat he did not care. Or as he put it "I don't give a s#@!". This was already clear to me as he never returned any of our phone calls and had to be reminded over and over again to do his job. They recieved their money all we wanted was to recieve our furniture in a timely manner, and if it was not going to be timely at least be apologetic and sincere about our situation. Instead the company took the tone of not caring and not making much effort to show their sincere regrets for not following through on their promise. When I went to their store recently I noticed they had "Quitting Sale" posted everywhere. I am very concerned about my fellow consumers that they are going to be shafted like we have. I hope that this reputable company can do something to protect the consumer. Today's date is 6/12/06 and the order is still not finalized.

Asked for MGR said he wasn't in and never comes in...Called store in the mall and asked for MGR, given DEPAK and his cell number..Called him, left numerous messages..Finally got him and he said he was busy and had to call me back tonight..Gave home number..Waited till 9pm no call..Surprise Surprise !!
Now have been calling and no rtn calls...
All I want is my mattress that is due me But I don't feel its fair i have to wait till someone else in my area buys something..Thats silly, stupid business..what if no one buys anything for 6 months, do I just wait..

Company should be investigated..They are probably ripping off the consumersleft and right..
