I purchased patio funiture four years ago and the finish is now chipping and peeling in many places, on the tables as well as all the chairs. The brackets on the tables have all broken off leaving the glass loose in all three tables. Two years ago the bases of 4 chairs were replaced by the store because of the same problem. Peeling and cracking continues on these bases as well as the other pieces.
I have contacted the store several times since May 30th and I have not gotten any response. I have faxed them letters and copies of my reciepts but I never get a response. When I call the store I am put off by the salesman and Jack (the store owner) never gets back to me, as I am told he will.
This set cost me thousands of dollars and we were told at the time of purchase that the set has a guarantee of at least 10 years.
Lori says she was "told" the set had a ten-year guarantee. If it is in writing, she should first write the store a certified, return-receipt-requested letter demanding in polite but firm language that the furniture be fixed or replaced. If the store fails to respond adequately, she can and should go to Small Claims Court.
