I purchased leather furniture with an extended warranty. The leather sofa started peeling and cushion worn on one side. I contacted the warranty company and they said that the extended warranty didn't cover the peeling or cushion. I went to Select Furniture to tell them about the problem and they emailed the head office, which contacted me and said that my one yr in-store warranty was expired. I told them I had a five yr extended warranty and they told me that they could fix the peeling of leather and cushion but I would have to pay. They quoted one price and a week later another. My problem is I purchased this leather sofa and extended warranty for $1800.00 and now they are telling me I'm better off buying a new sofa.
Had I known that the sofa would start peeling and cushion and would lose firmness on one cushion, I would not have purchased this furniture. Why are they selling leather furniture with five yr warranty and telling me to pay to fix it or buy a new one. I think this is bad for consumers. Select furniture should inform consumers about the peeling of their leather furniture. I'm sure no one would purchase and go through what I'm going through with them. Bad business.
