On December 7th, we purchased a kitchenette set and a bedroom set from these people and paid in full. We were promised that the furniture would be delivered in two weeks.
After waiting the two weeks we began calling the company to see where was the furniture. We never got an answer with either call we made so my husband decided to ride out to the company only to find out that they had moved out of the building on December 17, 2002. We have gotten a copy of the check from our bank and see that HBE enterprises cashed the check. This company is located in Alabama.
Up to today we still have not heard from the owners or anyone to give us any explanation or refund of our money. Please help us we don't have $4,065.00 to lose.

This is an all-too-common occurrence. Furniture stores have a habit of disappearing. Sylvia and her husband will have to get the address of the company and send them a certified, return-receipt-requested letter demanding a full refund within a reasonable period. If payment is not received, they can sue the company in Small Claims Court.
