I purchased a package of 20 personal training sessions from Definitions. I tried a couple sessions, and the experience was subpar, with the trainers not seeming to pay attention while working with me or to have much fitness expertise. But the kicker was that, after my job caused me to move out of New York, the gym refused to refund the remaining sessions I had despite the salesperson having told me they would, as well as another person at the desk saying this along with the website itself.
I called the gym several times asking for my money back, but no one returned my call. When I finally got a hold of the owner Joe, he was very rude and refused to refund me for the remaining sessions. I ended up filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau and currently am in the process of filing a suit with the Small Claims Court as well as disputing the charge with my credit card company. Over $1,500 of money was lost.
