I bought an LG fridge from the Good Guys store 9 months ago, with a 2 year warranty. 4 weeks ago, I noticed the fridge door dropping, and will not close properly. I rang the store, and they said I should contact LG. I contacted LG. They sent a repair guy, and told me a bolt holding the door hinge, had snapped off. He could not fix on his own, and that he would be back with his offsider. I waited seven days, and he never came back. I contacted the store again, and they got in touch with LG, and they said it was not a manufacturing problem. LG did not have the decency to tell me. That fridge was damaged in the factory, before it was created. It looks like the fridge, was dropped, breaking the hinge, and snapping one of two bolts. They replaced the hinge, but could not get the rest of the broken bolt out, so they put some glue on it. You can see signs of it, relying on just one bolt. This from a big company like LG.

My washing machine is faulty. I have called the call centre 5 times asking to speak to a manager and have been refused every time. I have been told just a straight no. I want my washing machine replaced or money refunded as they are telling me the parts needed, will take 6 weeks to arrive. This not good enough and the call center in Makati is not helpful at all. I'm extremely angry and want this matter resolved immediately.

Over two weeks ago I contacted the people at GE Protection Plus to make arrangements for repair on a 46" Mitsubishi high-definition television that I purchased at Good Guys. To my surprise, GE informed me that my television was still covered by Good Guys and connected me with Customer Service at Good Guys. They told me that they'd contact me the following Sunday to confirm an appointment. We stayed at home and waited all day ... NO CALL.
I contacted them again the following Monday and they made the same promise. I stayed at home all day today waiting for a phone call that again, never came. The warranty expires on 10 Feb. 2005. In the meantime I'm watching a blurry $4000 high-definition "Black & White" bohemoth.

It doesn't take a "Rocketsurgeon" to see that I'm being ripped off. If they don't honor their word by week's end, my only alternative is to return to their store with this lemon, sit out front and tell their prospective customers about my Good Guys experience.
