On 2/27/07, Basement RX came out to look at the water in the basement. They said it would cost $4,500 to fix it along with removing mold in the ceiling. They installed a drain all around the perimeter of the back of the house with a 4" PVC pipe in the floor. On 8/22/10. I discovered that water was leaking down the back wall. I discovered today that they are out of business and I have a worthless guarantee for the job they did.

I had them come out and they pressured us into doing the work by saying they could start right away and give us a discount. They said they would put up plastic and purge the walls and put in a pump and French drain all the way around the interior and it would fix the problem. Then when I called them to come back as they worked on it one day and it still leaked through the walls, they never returned my call. I needed some work done at another property I won as the water was coming through the floor and it is an apartment.
They came out to look at it after I told them in a phone message I had more work if they would fix the property at **** Grant Avenue. So they sent someone out to work at Grant Avenue and I had them do the work at the other apartment and it is still leaking. They never sealed it and it is always wet. They put down some plastic under the carpet so I didn't know for a while that it had been leaking all along. Both places are always wet. Neither was done right and they won't return phone calls.

We hired them in Nov.2007 for mold removal. They told me I needed $11,000 worth of waterproofing done that would eradicate the mold, much the same description as Sylvia of Trenton gave including the piping and webbing. They pressured me to do the work the next day by giving me a discount. They came at 7 am, did the work in 1 day, and took my check. They stated they would give me a lifetime guarantee and yearly service checks at no charge.
When I called to get a service date, the phone numbers were disconnected. Now the pumps don't work, and I have no guarantee since they are nowhere to be found. What can I do?

In November 2006, I called Basement RX and Stephen ** came to my house to assess my problem with the flooding and mold in my basement. He led me to believe that his company did work for the state and government, then quoted me a total of $11,000+ for the work that his men would be doing for me. Since I was so distraught, I didn't even get another quote from anyone else. I assumed that everyone charged that much for the work they were going to do. They removed half of my things down the cellar, moved my back sump pump further to the back of the basement and installed a "new" pump in the front of the basement, installed a new cement floor in the crawl space, put some type of webbing around the perimeter of the inside of basement wall and floor and waterproofed the walls.
The owner, Stephen Schultz, never got a permit from the city, never told me that one of the low bearing walls was damaged and just painted right over it (now all the paint has peeled and chipped off), sump pump in the front stops working all the time since 2009, installed the spouts on outside of my house for the water release wrong (so now my foundation is crumbling and I will now have to get a mason to fix it), water is now seeping through the cement wall in the middle of my foundation (where they supposedly fixed it), and my cellar still keeps flooding if I don't keep the pumps working. The City of Trenton came to inspect it after I went to see them to complain and failed the work completely. The company was fined for not getting a permit.
I have called Stephen numerous times and reached someone, who said the company is not in business any longer. I told him about the pump and he said that pumps don't last forever. I continued to tell him that the "new" pump was only 3 years old and that I have a lifetime warranty on their work and the pump and he hung up on me. I have not been able to contact them since. I did call Stephen's cell phone a couple of weeks ago and got another person saying that he is not that person. I have all my documents in a folder. I even Googled Basement RX and saw many other complaints about them. I also understand that he is working under another company.

I had hired Basement RX to put french drains in my basement. They did a horrible job and never completed it. I sent a complaint about the company. I am now being sued by this Eric G. I have no idea who he is and what he does.
There is mold still growing in my basement. My cabinets are chipped from the workers removing the carpet. My neighbors car was hit by the workers. There is a whole in my driveway due to the dumpster.

I had hired this company to put french drains in my basement. What a night mare that turned out be. The second day they were there, they worked till 1:00 am. All 3 of them could not speak English to tell them to leave. I called the forman, Rick, and he said they are staying until it's done. What company does that? When they left, they hit my neighbors car and never notified anyone.
They still were not done. I had to listen to this beeping noise for a week until they came back. I was told they were busy. The back up battery for the sum pump was difected, that's why it was beeping. They were supposed to remove the sheetrock from the walls, and remove the mold. They only removed about four feet with a hammer, and mold is still growing on the walls, which is not healthy.
When they picked up the dumpster a week later, they left me with a hole in my driveway about 3 feet wide and 6 inches deep. I wrote to Nathan numerous times about the basement, driveway, and the vehicle. He told me he offered my neighbor cash, but will not admit that his workers hit the car. He did nothing about the basement or driveway. I paid them $4,000.00 and gave them ten post dated checks for $400.00 each. The job was not done correctly and they left me with more problems, so I stopped payments on those ten checks. I wrote to Nathan again to let him know why I stopped payments on those checks. A couple weeks ago I received a letter in the mail, they are taking me to court for $4360.00.
As they were taking my carpet out they chipped my cabinets, that is costly to replace. It looks horrible. Mold is still growing on the walls, which is very unhealthy. I had gotten an estimate of $2,300.00 to remove the sheetrock and mold, which should of been done by them. My driveway has a hole in it due to the dumpster. They never paid to have my neighbors car fixed.
