We took my mother-in-law's mower to him and he called to say it was ready and told us the cost. Before we could pick it up, the big Nashville flood came. When we picked it up, he gave us this story that his business had flooded (it had not) and charged us another $20.00. He is gouging people already hurting from the flood. Had to pay an extra $20.00 that was not quoted nor had the additional work been done.

I took my lawnmower to Lewis Broths.MowerClinic for repair,I told the shop person I needed a new gage wire replaced on my mower,I was quoted 15.00 flat fee labor included,I left my name and phone no.and was told that I would be contacted for pick-up on the mower,3wks has gone by finally I get a call from the same shop person,Im thinking my mower is ready NO,Im told by the shop person that I need to go way across town to lafeyette ave/thompson lane and purchase the part for my mower,at this point I told the shop person, for me to half to go get a part and bring it to you defeat the purpose of leaving my mower in your repair shop to be fixed so I rather just come and get my mower,thats fine with me the shop person said ,that was on a thursday when we spoke,friday on the way to get my mower my car brake-down on me,a 2wks of repair in the car shop so I call the mower shop and let them know for 2wks Im out of personial transportation at the time,and would pick-up my mower the next following week,ok the shop person tells me.
I arrive to pick-up my mower,Im told I OWE THEM 25.00,I ask for what,when you told me you didn,t have the part,the shop person had put the part on and HAD DID OTHER WORK AND REPAIRS THAT I DIDNT ASK THEM TO DO AND THEN GAVE ME A DIFFERENT AMOUNT TO PAY,I told the person I will only pay for what I asked for to be done,when I was giving him cash 25.00 he refused to accept payment and started cursing me out telling me I would NEVER GET MY LAWNMOWER BACK,AND TO GET THE H*++ off HIS PROPERTY,I WAS SO UP-SET AND SHOCKED AT HOW THIS PLACE CONDUCT THEMSELVES AND IN DOING BUSINESS WITH THE PUBLIC!!!
ALSO I called METRO DAVIDSON CO. CLERK OFFICE and inquired about Lewis Bros. Mower Clinic having a operating business license and was told they were operating on a invalad license and that they would be investigated and be given a visit immediately. So thier probably not reporting thier EARNNIGS from their business due to a invalad business license, they change their fee on me,did repairs I didnt ASK for,REFUSED payment in order to keep my lawnmower,REFUSED to give me my mower back,and operating on a invalad license,also CODES need to investagate this BUILDING!The building is in delapitated condition and have rates,snakes inside were the public is waited on in side,surrounded by rusty old metal stacked in areas on a dirt floor.
