On 10/5/2009, I signed an acceptance proposal stating that Meyers Roofing & Remodeling would remove and install a new roof at my residence on 10/19/2009. On 10/18/09, my spouse called and left a message on Mr. **'s phone. The next day, Mr. ** was "No Show," but he did call on 10/19/09 to let us know because of the rain you that were running behind schedule and I told you that I understood. Then, Mr. ** assured me that we were next in line to have our roof fixed.

The following Monday (10/26/09), I called again at approximately 8:53 AM leaving a message asking the status on our roof and when could we expect him to start working on the roof. At approximately 12:45 PM, he called and spoke with my spouse telling him that he would be here by the end of the week, again a "No Show." On Monday, 11/2/09, I called at approximately 8:37 AM and spoke directly to Mr. ** and asked again when we could expect him to be here to fix the roof. He proceeded to tell me that he was now a week behind schedule and stated that he would be here to fix the roof.

At this point, we started to believe that Mr. ** was not being truthful with us and became extremely frustrated because Mr. ** had taken a down payment for $1,900 by personal check. We had grown tired of the excuses and his lack of progress so, on 11/4/2009, we sent a certified letter to Mr. ** stating that we were terminating the contract and wanted a refund immediately. I also filed a complaint with the BBB, Attorney General's Office, and the FTC. Since then, we have not heard from Mr. ** and he is avoiding the BBB. We were told to file small claims against him, but more than likely, he will not show. But I did do so anyway. Today, I received an information that he recently scammed another person.
