left my back yard a mess. The contractor did not obtain a city permit, so
the city issued a stop work order.
I verified his current license before he started the job, but did not know
that there are different types of licenses. The Contractor's License Board
tells me that he is not licensed to do this kind of landscape work. The
board says that it will probably be months before they even look at my case
and gave me the impression that they really can't do that much when they do.
Why are contractors "licensed" if they are not held accountable?
Damages: I can't get other contractors to even give me estimates to complete
the project due to the mess.
