After four years, United Pools and Spas in Henderson, Nevada, built our pool. I called them for the proof of purchase of our pool equipment that was never given to us when they built the pool. We need it for warranty issues. I called them many times and the only answer I got was that somebody will call me back. It never happened. I told them I will contact the Better Business Bureau. Several weeks went by and instead of getting from them a letter with the information asked, we got a letter in the mail telling us that we owe them $3,715.00 and that if we do not pay them ASAP, they will send the bill to a collections company.

This money was a change order made when we signed the contract on 2/12/2006 and was included in the contract under item 23, purification system. This change order also included a small concrete patio to be removed from the pool site before building the pool. This company never built anything without us paying them in advance for the things going to be built. We kept copies of everything by advise of somebody else who has gone through the same thing after they complained about a problem with their pool. No proof of purchase of the equipment installed in our pool, and we had to order new equipment. They wrote a letter to the Better Business Bureau about sending the bill to collections.
