I was turned over to collections unfairly. Last year I emptied my 401k to pay off all debts owed to all Carle-related bills, including Carle Clinic. I guess all paperwork and pre-registration was a waste of time as my address wasn't used for the hospital bill. They were sending it to my son's address. I wasn't aware of this bill. My ex-husband never told me about the mailings or gave them to me. I would have never left these bills hanging without payment.
