i went into hosptial for a standard overnite procedure- i had an unexpected bad reaction to the anesthesia- i was violently nausous for about 24 hours- the anesthesialolgist or the surgeons did not bother to check on my recovery.The nursing staff ignored my illness. not until i was stong enough to demand relief the next day did anyone bother to contact surgeon for assistance.I was sick with no pain relief After surgery for 20+ hours.
I have sent 9 copies of a complaint letter to the president, head of nursing staff, CEO, surgical group-only one person called me back- i relayed the details- i was forced to stay at the hospital for one additional day because of the collective neglegence- i better not be expected to pay for their neglect. I was promised a follow up call- that was over a week ago. i will contact other consumer groups for assistance if needed. i was deathly ill from reaction- had throat surgery - but was allowed to vomit for a whole day- will i be charged for the unexpected extra day in the hospital?
