I moved out of Greystone at Widewaters on July 31, 2010. I left the apartment in great condition and have pictures to prove this statement. I received a statement saying that the carpet needed to be replaced. The carpet was left clean and I have an eyewitness that can validate this claim. The Greystone staff has threatened to have this amount submitted to crediting agencies. I have had several disagreements with the staff and that was my reason for moving. I know that the disagreements from the past are what they are using fuel for their claims. I am successfully working on my credit, with hopes of purchasing a home of my own. This would harm me if they send this into collections since they have given me a few days to pay for it. The statement was mailed on August 17, 2010 and they want almost a $1000 by August 27, 2010. I am paying for a damaged table in the rental office of $368 and agreed to pay that in installments, but the carpet was clean when I left.
