We rented a bdrm apt dec08, saw it on the internet @ apartments.com & rent.com, "customized cabinetry & new appliances" saw the "model apt", however on move-in we found old cabinets painted white and peeling due to the chemical of paint not adhering, the cabinets were pressed board. It was too late to not move-in. gave notice@ former apt and I was due for 2 knee surgeries in early 09. The maintenance super "John"and the housekeeper"Donna" apologized so much about the apt not being like advertised, you felt for them, really, until you got yo know them and learned how this mgmnt co operated.

I also have stage III breast cancer and I had ask about cigarette smoker's as neighbors, my roommate and I were told there were none near apt 209, lie's 3 neighbor's smoked we learned the eve we moved in. It took us until June 09 to relocate to another apt in this complex awat from smoker', at are own expense and wear and tear, even though lori (mgr) tols us both she would have maintenance staff move us at no cost. on the day of relocation to apt no one came and my 67 yr old roommate and I moved us.

This apt does not have new cabinets either, lori told us it was'nt in the budget and we were so desperate to get out of the smoke we moved. It is'nt right that we (and other residents) do not have the "totally refurbished" and yet pay the same rent as those residents that do. We pay 895.00 a month, I qualify due to my disability for the city"s 100.00 off rent monthly, it is not section or hud.

We cannot get any answeres from the office, a staff of 3. I contacted hud but they told me to contact a consumer organization, so i hope you can help us. This has caused significant stress on us and especially our budget.tis management just tells you untruths and once you are in the apt they do not want to hear from you
