Consumer Complaints & Reviews

For the past three years, I have attempted to get the organization to remove this apartment off of my credit. I have provided proof that I was living in California when this apartment was rented. The company is still denying me the removal. I did not authorize anyone to get this apartment in my name. I even showed them the copy of my fraud papers, and they still will not remove it.

I moved into Oakhurst Lane on 10/28/09 as of 11/12/09, I have only lived there for 15 days and I am very disappointed and frustrated with how maintenance and service request are handled. For the past 15 days I am in a new apartment and it has not felt like home yet. I couldn't imagine living here too much longer. I know that some requests take priority over others, but as a new resident I feel I am a priority since most of my requests have come in the first few days of me moving in.

I will say that one of the reasons that I have not came into the office and just snapped is Diane, who has tried to help in every way possible, but I know that there is only so much she can do. To be honest if you moved into a new apartment wouldn't you expect things to be working properly and not broken as you have 12 more months to live there and are expected to pay monthly rent.

My first issue is the way that my request to have my apartment sprayed for fleas was handled. I reported on 11/9/09 and was told on 11/11/09 that the pest guy could come out 11/13/09. I was told that several calls had been made to him with no return call. Honestly, I don't understand how there is only one pest guy to handle a complex of this size and that he is the only one that can come out. I have never dealt with fleas in my home before, but I must say they are very annoying and have made me very uncomfortable to the point that I don't want to walk through my own apartment. I went to the store and attempted to buy some stuff to help, which it hasn't.

So not only and I uncomfortable but I also spent my own money to try to solve the problem. I think as a resident it's unfair to have to wait for one pest guy to call back and then still have to wait until it's convenient for him to come out to have the problem resolved. Pest guys has come out twice Friday, November 13th, 2009 and Tuesday, November 17th, 2009 stating that he needed apporval from mgmt office before treating per mgmt office they had given him approval as of today still no repairs done.

Second issue, the heat, on 10/31/09 called emergency maintenance because heat was making a loud noise and either cutting on and off real quick or cutting on stay on or a long time then cut off and cut back on quick. Maintenance man comes out on 10/31/09 says no there is no problem and that its supposed to make that noise. Came by the office 11/2/09 and the maintenance guy comes back out fixes the loud noise but not the other problem. So trying not to be a bother I don't call back or say anything because I am assuming that he is coming maybe just a little busy. So, on 11/9/09 I bring it up again and still haven't seen maintenance to fix my heat.

Third issue, 10/30/09 I requested the missing shelf in my linen closet and the metal pieces so that my closet doors can close. I put a second request in for that on 11/9/09 still hasn't seen maintenance for that either.

Last, how is it that another bar has broke on the steps or was it ever attached. I reported the first broken one 11/2/09 and that one it's not fixed still 10 days later. My apartment is tacky and looks and feels like I have been there for 15 years and it's only been 15 days. I also reported some smoke smell that is in the bathroom that I can not get out regardless of what products I put in there to cover the smell. I also requested to have this checked out.

As you can tell I am not mad, I'm just disappointed. My experience is horrible and as a resident I am not satisfied. I know I am not the only who lives here and there are other requests by other residents, but I do know that some things are priority and a few of the things I mentioned should already have been taken care of. And some of the other things should never have been an issue to begin with since I did just move in. I hope that the issues listed will be resolved as quickly as possible so that I can begin to feel at home.
