On January 20, 2000, my home was destroyed by fire. The adjuster, Glenn R., with Mor-Tem Risk Mangement Services who represented Audubon Insurance offered to pay me and my family of seven $12/day for 120 days loss of use and for additional living expenses.
I have tried to communicate with the insurance company to review the claim and pay me my policy limit which is $11,800 plus at least $i00/day for 180 days but they refused.
As a result of their action my family has been deprived of good living. We feel betrayed and discriminated against simply because of our race. The amount offered ($12/day for 120 days) shows how the insurance company tried to victimize my family again and again irrespective of our tragedy we sustained.
