I consulted with Mr. Mitchell P on the phone to defend a speeding ticket I had received. He markets himslef as a lawyer for tickets (lawyerfortickets.com). He assured me that he would try to get the ticket dismissed but if that was not possible he would ask for a point reduction. I entrusted him in defending me in court but when the day arrived Mr. P did not even try to defend me. He went straight for the point reduction. He did not cross examine the poilice officer at all. He did not ask any questions what so ever. HE did not even make a statement to the Judge regrading what happend. He went straight for the point redution. I felt he violated the trust I gave him in defending me. I felt as if he went for the shortest route in resolving the case rather then what was in the best interst of me the client. I would hate for this to happend to anybody else.

Since Mr. P went straight for the point redution there was no chance at all for the ticket to be dismissed. When I spoke to him regarding how he handled the case he said given the judge that was there that was the best way to handle the case becasue the officers testimony left no room for inquiry. If he is not capapble of cross examining the officer in a way that defends me then he should have been upfron with me and said that in the first place. He should not have stated that he would try to get the case dismissed when he had no intention of doing so.

The officers testimonies are rote memorization and I am sure he deals with them all the time. He should have been prepared. I would have found someone else that was capable of defending me properly. Also, If he felt that the judge is very stern then maybe he should have advised me to reschedule the case. I now have a tarnished driving record without a fight that I paid him for. This should not happen to anybody else and thus am writing to you.
