I sent this company a typed letter with a copy of my orders (deployment). They were supposed to have adjusted my account following the guidelines set out in the Relief Act. They claimed when I called them last week that they never received it. But one of the accounts has already been adjusted, but not the other. They told me I had to send them another copy of my orders to get the other account adjusted. I had the paperwork faxed, they then claimed they never received the fax, but yet I have a receipt showing they received it and the time it reached there.
I have been paying a 19% interest rate for the last 8 months, when my orders are dated from December. I'm losing an average of $15 a month on finance charges. I'm attempting to pay off the two accounts by December. The bank is required to reduce Chris' rate to 6% retroactive to the date of his deployment. If it does not do so immediately, Chris should contact his unit's legal affairs officer.
