Sprint Long Distance Military

Consumer Complaints & Reviews

I went to the store above unaware that they opened at 10AM. I was there 15 minutes early. When I returned to the store at 10:10AM, the door was still locked so I knocked. While I waited, there was a printed sign that stated the holiday hours (11AM) and that normal business hours resumes on December 26, 2011. When Chad ** came to the door, he asked me "what could he do for me?" (rudely). I stated that it was 10:10AM and they weren't open. He then said "we don't open until 11AM". I said, "well, the sign says 10AM". He then pointed to the "holiday" printed hours on the door and said "it says 11AM". I then proceeded to tell him that ended on December 26, 2011 so I need service.

He continued in a rude manner and told the customer he was on the phone with, "hold on I have an issue" and continued to tell me they don't open until 11AM. I stressed to him that I came from across town and have been waiting, that it wasn't fair that they don't have the correct hours on the door. I then asked him for his name and the person above him name, he gave it to me, shut the door and did not service me. I was very angry about this because I wasted gas going across town and they were not open when they should have been, and that the store manager was not a bit sympathetic and was very rude. I will never go to this store again and I would like this matter to be dealt with immediately. Thank you.

We have Sprint Long Distance for many years. Last month my husband was deployed ACTIVE DUTY to Kuwait. Sprint slammed our calling card which was 59 cents per minute up to 89 cents per minute after he left. The military was moving calls thru domestic phone lines, and we paid international rates. I have my phone bill.
Our phone bill reached $400.00 and Sprint disconnected our service without us ever even being behind on our payment? Further, my husband has been having to call us collect at $4.99 per message from overseas. Our phone bill was disconnected on 3/10/03. It printed off their computer on 3/14/03, I received it 3/21/03, and have paid in full. How can I make sure that this doesn't happen to ANYONE ever again?

It won't be easy. If we were Karon, we would write our Congressman. Hers is:

Rep. Nicholas Lampson
405 Cannon House Office Building
Washington, D.C. 20515-4309
Phone: (202) 225-6565

Fax: (202) 225-5547

We think Karon should send Rep. Lampson a copy of this complaint and ask him to help out. Chances are he will.
