Consumers Digest

Consumer Complaints & Reviews

I have been dealing with them for over a year now and have still recieved no issues (except a back order of Jan./Feb. in May. I have a year and a half subscription with them that will never be filled because today I found out the company stopped publication. All the numbers have been disconnected and no one is left to talk to about this. The web site says they are still doing publications but you can't e-mail any one and the site is closed down.

I am very irritated at all the phone calls I have made in the past year and all the things I have been told by different people from Consumer Digest. Now what about the money I am out?

We suspect that Dan is out of luck, sorry to say.

I ordered Consumers Digest, originally on 3/1/01. I was told to wait 2 weaks for this to be processed to let me know what issue would be delivered. This is a gift. When I called they couldn't find that I had even ordered anything, so I had to reorder, which I did.

I put this on my debit card. The re-order was done on 3/5/01 which now I had to wait a few more weeks. This cost is $25 dollars for 2 years. As of now they have deducted from my ckecking account (debit card) $50.00. I called them and they said it would take one month to credit my account that they only do it once a month; this is going back to 4/23/01 that my account should be credited. I have no credit to my account and no issues delivered either as of june 26th 2001.

Now when I call the number I get a recording. What am I supposed to do

In the future, Elizabeth should order her magazine subscriptions with a credit card, not a debit card. That at last gives her a chance to contest the charge if the magazines are not delivered.
