I gave them money to file a copyright for me and nothing has been done. I tried following up with no results. Total scam. GoCopyright.com doesn't exist.

They said they would mail the Copyright paperwork, charged us the $60 and now I cannot contact anyone. It is a huge runaround that gives no answers. I felt secured also with the McAfee logo on the site, but now I will never recommend or purchase anything with that logo attached. I am a very unsatisfied customer. It ** when you are on a limited budget in this economy trying to support your family and people do this **.
Here's the thing, I searched "copyright" and I, like many, fell for a Google sponsor link, 2nd down from the top; I ended up thinking gocopyright.com looked like a decent website and the BBB was listed and McAfee logo was on the top right corner making me feel secure. Then I went through the process to copyright a logo.
Afterwards, I read consumer reports and tried to cancel my order with the banks ( I had to wait 2 days for it to process first) then they called gocopyright.com and we got a person named Lauren (a guy) on the phone who asked for my order number. Afterwards, he said he would have to call me back and see if my order has already been sent to Library of Congress (common it's a picture upload, a day and a half ago).
Anyway as I write this, he hasn't called me back within the 2 hours he said he would. I already filled a dispute with the bank and I'm waiting 7-10 business days. You will receive an email that looks fancy. But all businesses now, you need an invoice for your purchased amount. Don't do it! Use copyright.gov only.

They stated that I will receive a certificate in the mail in 4-6 months.as of 4-23-08 all I have is a fedex tracking number.
As with other complaints I have read about this scam service I submitted for a copy right through this service on January 25, 2007. I paid the full fee of $129 and after a few weeks I received nothing. On February 12, 2007 I tried calling to no avail so I sent an email. Almost immediately I received this response "Your completed copyright application has been sent to the Copyright Office in Washington DC. We will email confirmation when we receive word it has arrived probably today or tomorrow." Client Support
That was the one and last response I ever got. Over 2 years later I still have not received anything from this company - nor any response to my numerous attempts to reach them. Now I believe GoCopyRight is blocking their web server as any attempt to get to the website now produces this message "Safari can't open the page because the server unexpectedly dropped the connection, which sometimes occurs when the server is busy. You might be able to open the page later."
I went online not knowing about getting a copyright on my information and came across gocopyright.com so I thought it looks like it is an ok company. I processed my information and paid $129.00 back on 9/11/07. I have since emailed and phoned them asking the status of my order. They emailed me back for a while after my order and now I have heard nothing. They said oh, its taking longer than normal. It takes about a year. I said ok. It seems I have emailed them dozens of times within the lat couple months and they have not contacted me.
I finally called the copyright offices in Washington DC where the documents are suppose to go. They found my information and told me that my documents we never processed due to them waiting on insufficient funds from gocopyright.com. I was ******. I never received an email from gocopyright of course why would I for this. I have now taken care of my order for only $45.00 and am going to try and get my money back (good luck right?) from gocopyright.com. If anyone is looking to get a copyright go to copyright.gov. It is the offical government site and if you do it online it is only $35.00. How sad I did not know this back in 2007. I hope this helps someone so this doesn't happen to you.

Go copyright said the site registration would cost me $69 and $25 for sending the site via fed ex.
I was charged nearly twice this amount for both sites as two separate charges and am amid asking an investigation into what appears to be a mass fraud scam it even looks as if fed ex was not used despite my paying for this
No receipts were sent what so ever the fixed agreed price given on the web site is none existent and they charge nearly eight times what the US Government the selves actually charge
When querying this they quote a totally different price and cost to what their web site claims
Adding the links they recommend only adds total copyright abuse into several thousands of instances making copyright thiefs more determined to challenge the statement and law I was forced to remove all poems leaving me a far lower income from my works

On Novemeber 26th, 2007 I ordered from "gocopyright.com" the service to copyright my website. I recived confirmation that my order went through and my credit card was charged. In april of 2008, I still had not heard anything, so I wrote them several emails asking them the status (i know it can take several months) and they finally replied after 5 emails. They said my order skipped their system, and would re-sumit it immediately. Fine.
In Septemeber 2008 I inquired again, and now they tell me they have no record of me at all! (I already paid, I should be in their system) I gave them all the correspondence we had had, and have STILL not hear back from them! It has been WEEKS, it should not take WEEKS to reply to an email. I feel I have been scammed, big time. They have no phone number, have their website registered by proxy as well. The customer is left defenseless and fustrated.
My website remains without a copyright, and I am continually asked permission to use my material for papers, books, etc.
