Consumer Complaints & Reviews

Barron's Moving & Storage crushed a box of expensive wine glasses ($50-$80), CLEARLY MARKED FRAGILE on all sides. The improper loading of the truck caused all of the boxes to come tumbling out of the truck and crashing to the ground. The driver remarked how he hated working with new people like this because they did not know how to correctly pack a truck. I was told that someone from the storage company would call me later to discuss the damages.
After a week of not receiving a call, I called to request a Form for Presentation of Loss and Damage, faxed it in, and still received no call from the company. I had to call 4 more times over the period of a month to get someone to speak with me to discuss the matter. Finally, Anton--who could have helped all along--looked at my paperwork and stated that I could only be reimbursed .60 cents/lb., which is ridiculous for a box of expensive glasses that only weighed about 3 lbs. I am only asking for about $50 of the $515 they charged to move my belongings to Public Storage. I do know I definitely do not want them touching my storage boxes again or moving them to my new residence.
