My uncle was admitted to the hospital on Feb.11, 2009 through the emergency room. The nursing home called my mom, who was his caretaker until we admitted him to the nursing home in Nov. 2008 due to him becoming feeble and not being able to walk anymore or be continent. He is 92 years old and has type 2 diabetes. He was taken to the hospital because he was non-responsive...according to the nurse who called from the nursing home.

After being examined, the doctor said he was severely dehydrated and his blood glucose level was so low they were surprised he had not went into a diabetic coma. They have more test to run, but the doctor believes he suffered a TIA (light stroke.) I would like to know if we are able to take legal action against the nursing home for neglect?
