I was a care giver for my aunt for ten years. About six months ago, I and my aunt went to Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility on these several occasions they denied my aunt admittance. These occasions were, once in person where we were made to sit in the waiting area and another party going before us, even thought we were there first and still did not get waited on, so we decided to leave and Anita (administrator) said to call her by phone.
The second occasion was calling by phone where Anita said that the services my aunt needed was due to the extensive care she needed, and she felt like the staff would not being able to give her that care? reported by Anita Kennedy and Beth Love, which she was resident of Maysville, KY.
Both parties were rude and acted like they did not care one way or the other. She is currently eighteen miles away from her hometown where she resides as a patient at Pioneer Trace Nursing facility, in Flemingsburg KY.
My complaint is that she is at a Nursing facility that she is currently at is not as equipped as Maysville Nursing home and has there after accepted patients to care for in the same condition as my aunt and she just wants to be close to her family that resides in Maysville, KY. What rights does my aunt resident of Maysville, KY have as a resident of Maysville, KY & why was she not accepted in her hometown but in another county as a resident. I hate to say that discrimination plays a part in their decision, but the staff and their attitude was very unprofessional in the way they handled the situation.
