Consumer Complaints & Reviews

And what might ap9 be? Well, you might want to start by researching a company called Vertrue.

I discovered that I had been charged $12.00 a month for the last four months on my credit card without authorization. I called my credit card company to dispute the charges and they reimbursed me $48.00 and blocked them from adding any further charges to my account. Economically, I am safe now that I know they can't charge me anymore, but I am still nervous that they somehow have my account information. I am also outraged that they are doing this to so many people as I have since learned. They should be stopped and made to make restitution to everyone that they scammed.

I have no idea how I got signed up with these people. I just know they have been taking $10 a month out of my account for over a year. I didn't know who they were or how to contact them. Very unethical company.

There was a charge for $12 on my Discover Card from Shoppers Discount last month. I did not authorize this charge, and I never even heard of Shoppers discount until then. I know $12 is not a lot of money, but I'm a senior and have to watch every penny. Discover Card says I have to settle this directly with Shoppers Discount. Can you help me?

I noticed that I was being billed by Shoppers Discount on my Visa card. By the time it had come to my attention it had amounted to ninety six dollars. I located their number and called , asking for an explanation. Their reason for billing me they said was when I ordered flowers from FTD I automatically signed up for Shoppers discount. I disagreed and ask for my money back. We argued back and forth till they agreed to refund me seventy two dollars and took me off their membership list. On my latest Visa bill there was a credit for seventy two dollars. From now on I will scrutinize my bill a little more carefully.

they took 12.oo dollars out of my checking account without me authorizing it

I wakes up and checks my checking account and I see a pending debit from AP9*Healthplan. I never completed a form for any health plans so I know that this is a true scam, Why I say that because this is a second bank card from BB&T. They Debit my last card three times,I was noticing the difference after the second debit there was another number post different from the one listed here. A recording came on giving the times they are availble and to call back during regular business hours.

This went on for several days, no one answer the phone. So i had to request a block on my card and got a new one. Tuen around its like dejavule the same thing.

AP9"privacyplus has done it again! Charged another $1.00 for their 'service'; which I do not use and can't explain how they have my charge information. The solution to cancel this card.

I will NOT use this card again; medication $33.23 Walgreens on 12 June 2009 is my last usage.

I have canceled my account and still getting a charge in my credit card for two months.

I don't know what this ap9 Health Plan is and it's doesn't have my permission to debit my account and I want it stopped now!!! I am not happy that people can get into debit our acct. without permission!! I just don't understand.

Shopper's Discount charges began appearing on my credit card statement in December 2007. I contacted the company and have asked that they refund all the charges. They will only refund two months. They have refused to refund the remaining amount until a signed copy of a form they are going to mail to me is returned by postal mail. I do not know what service this company provides and never provided them my email or credit card number both of which they have on file. The requested refund is $170.00.

When I answered an ad on Craigslist for Sales person, they asked me for a copy of my credit report to verify my information. They also provided me with a website where I could get my report for just $1. When I viewed my account a few days later, there was a charge there for $29.95 for AP9 Health Plan...unauthorized by me.

I have had to cancel my account so that no more charges can come through. Additionally, the charge has overdrawn my account and added a $37 charge for that. Bottom line, I am out $67 and I will be disputing the charge with my bank.

i was illegally charged 19.95 thru my bank acct for a service i never requested called ap9 healthcare.

@ 29.95 has been debited from my account. I didn't sign up for this...do not know what it is. I signed up for a credit report and this seemed to come along with it. I do not want it and want my account credited immediately. This is a scam and I intend to go to the Attorney General. I cannot afford this and would have to go to the trouble of cancelling my card and applying for a new card.

I tried the free trial for 1.99 and within the 14 days I cancelled. On 4/14/2009, I was charged 19.95 and when I called the company, they told me that they would not refund me the money back. This 19.95 was for the month until 5/8/2009. Instead she said that they would cancel the membership and not refund the $19.95.

Behind this transaction, my checking account charged me an additional $27.50 which made the total charge for this transaction $48.45. I would like a refund of $48.45.

AP9* Home Savings Mall 800-544-1528 (as it appeared on my VISA bill) charged my credit card $19.95. This was unauthorized. I had never heard of this company, nor did I sign up for their service. When I called them about it, they said I approved it when I signed up for Classmates.com and gave me the date I signed up for Classmates.com online. I told them I wanted them to credit the $19.95 back to my credit card, and they said they would. So I Googled them and discovered that this exact same thing has happened to many people. In addition, in my search, I found that the CEO of the company has a long-time reputation for unscrupulous business practices.

Shoppers Discount Card keepd debiting my accounr and I cancelled out of them in January 2009

Shoppers Discount has debited my checking about for $12 with my authorization on 3/4/09 and 4/9/09. I have contacted my bank about the unauthorized debits.

Loss of $24.00.

i noticed on my credit card charges of 17.95 per month being added on my april 1st statement. in January 2009 their wa 2 months and 1 month added in march. I to my knowledge have never ordered any of these charges and I don't know who this is? I need to know how to stop this

They also keep billing my account ever mth. i called to cancel as they told me when i bought a ticket online the in the small print i accepted their companys offer. WHAT? no. plz cancel it. they told me they would and this mth again they are on my billing cycle! this is ludacris!

I recently saw a charge worth $12.00 from Shoppers Discount & Rewards on my credit card. At first I neglected it, but fortuitously I noticed that the same charge is coming on my statement every month. Since the amount was not too much, it could never catch my sight. I called my bank and came to know that Shoppers Discount has been charging me for last 7 months. On further investigation and search on internet I found out that I was not the only one.

THERE IS A UNAUTHORISED CHARGE ON MY VISA, CREDIT CARD. I would like these charges to be reversed immediately.

On March 19th while checking my checking account online, I noticed a charge for a AP9*HealthPlan. It caught my eye because I happen to be an insurance agent. Why on earth would I subscribe to something concerning a health plan. As I started looking into it further, I found this website and a very extensive blog dating back several years to this very issue, and how the company hoodwinks you into a credit monitoring service.

I immediately called the phone number listed by someone else reaching the company Privacy Matters. Upon entering the credit card number that had been charged they provided me with a membership number, and I asked to be connected to customer service. I reached Tamara employee ID # 700041. She agreed to cancel 1 months worth of charges. I asked to speak with a supervisor and reached Jordan employee ID # 1543269. I explained to her that I would have NEVER subscribed to her credit monitoring service because back in March of last year I unsubscribed from one I had used for nearly 7 years. She said she would refund February, and I asked about January and she agreed to do that as well.

I have a confirmation number for the cancellation and have everyone's name and telephone number. They said it would take 2-3 days to complete the refund, so I am going to checkand if it is not refunded by then, I am going to call Jordan back and see where the money is. This should be illegal, and I am definitely going to report it to the BBB on Monday. Fight on principle even if you don't need the $19.95 refunded. That is the only way they will ever change their policies. I may contact my attorney and have him see what he can do. He is handling two class actions right now, and this should definitely be one.

Well, unfortunately, with a senior graduating this month, and my husband unable to find employment, I am micro-managing my money. I had severa overdrafts the past two months which is somewhat unusual for me. I am sure that the $19.95 could've been used to pay some of the legitimate charges that I had made, and NOT caused my account to overdraw. The charge by the bank is $33 and $35 respectively. That is how I believe I have been damaged. Punitive damages are privacy matters (interestingly enough that is their name,) and the time spent getting worked up and contacting these people to do something that is, in my opinion, illegal. That is worth at least $1m. Please get these people put out of business, or at least develop a legitimate way of doing business.

In early December 2008 I purchased a reverse phone number lookup report from intelius and without my knowledge I was auto enrolled with a credit monitoring service provided by Privacy Matters 123. This is a fact I did not realize until yesterday. I noticed a charge on my checking account for $19.95 from AP9 HealthPlan. I called my bank to have the charge removed (it was currently pending). I was told they could do that but it may be easier to contact the company charging me. I explained I didn't know who they where or how to contact them.

My bank was able to provide the phone number for this company, so I called them. The number is: 877.993.6264. I first spoke with Kendra employee ID# 153528. I explained the current pending charge and that I knew nothing about it and without any further explanation she told me the charge would be refunded and my membership canceled. I received a confirmation email confirming this. The email stated my membership had been canceled.

After I thought about it, I realized since it was a membership I was probably being charged monthly. I looked over my bank records for the last 4 months and sure enough they had been charging me every month for 19.95. The charges began 2 weeks after I purchased the phone report from Intelius.com. After seeing this I called Privacy Matters 123 back and demanded a refund for the 3 months worth of charges to the membership I never had. I spoke with Ty employee # 154626.

She told me she wold not be able to refund the previous charges and that refunding the current month was the best they could do. I complained and she told me I had to confirm my purchase by entering my email twice, insinuating I knew I was enrolling for this service. I told her; NO! I entered my email twice to confirm my phone report purchase, NOT a credit monitoring service. I then told her about all the consumer credit websites with complaints about being ripped off in this manner by the company she worked for and that if she wasn't going to refund my money I would organize everyone making complaints and file a class action lawsuit!

With out skipping a beat she said; wait sir, I will process your refund for all charges. It totaled about $60, but when I think about all the people they have ripped off; I think we should band together and find a lawyer that will fight for us. Not for the money, because I doubt everyone would see a full refund, but it would shut this company down and keep them from ripping off other people. Other useful info: *although the pending charges where showing up as AP9 HealthPlan, when the charge went through it would actually display as Secure Home CLU. * Privacy Matters 123 did confirm that the membership was purchased through Intelius, so anyone using Intelius beware that you will most likely end up a victim.

This bogus company placed a $169.95 charge on our credit card. We have no idea how they got the number or what their business is. If you call their # they want your CCard # or other personal info. They could be asociated with Complete Home - another unauthorizedf scam. Watch your CC bills and these scammers.

This company is making unauthorized charges of $14.95/month to my credit card. I have no idea how they obtained information of my account number but this is the second time that I notice this charge. I want to place a formal complaint against them and bring it to the attention of any investigative authority.

This far they nearly conned me into a $30.00 charge. I still have to dispute these amounts with my credit provider.

Smart Shoppers Saving and My Leisure Savings called me and asked me if I wanted a trial. To be honest, I can't remember if I agreed or not. They talked so fast, and I said no, but when I hung up I had no idea if I was being tricked, where no equals yes. After this, all this additional charges came on my CHASE credit card. No matter who I tried to call, the charges remained.

The economic challenge is that my credit card is charged between $40 and $60 dollars a month. This is with another fraudulent charge that i am trying to remove as well, with QuickGrantLinePro. So, the money on the credit card obviously can bring my credit card bill higher, which in turn allows the bank to make more off the balance.

My credit card was charged $29.95 for some bogus membership that I never joined or authorized. An additional $2.00 charge was also added for membership. This is an outrage and a scam. I don't know how they got my credit card number which is a little scary. They must be hacking the computers somehow. These guys need to be caught and prosecuted.

I had to call my credit card and report this which cost me time and stress. I will probably have to change my account number since from what I am reading here it seems they charge you monthly. What a pain in the neck!!

i did not sign ip for this "club" but somehow i am being charged $20.00 a month. I having charges comong out of checking acct and i can not afford to have a $20.00 charge for somethuing i did not nor do i want. I have nothing to show for these charges

I noticed on my Visa credit card statement that I have been charged $12.00 a month from 10/08-1/09,from shoppers discount.I do not know what shoppers discount is and have never used any services from shoppers discount. When I visited their web site there was an area that asked for my name and password. I entered my name and the password I use for all of my other personal accounts I have that asks for a password, and I could not open an account to view how they got my credit card account number.

$12.00 a month added to my Visa credit card will add up to a lot of money wasted for something i have no knowledge of,if this continues to be charged monthly.I will contact shoppers discount and my bank to find out how this occured.I feel insecure with my credit card.

They charged my account without any authorization .

I found a charge for $1.00 on my bank account on Jan 22nd 2009. Then I found 2 more, one for $39.80 and another for $1.00 (these transactions are pending at this time but the dates will be around January 28, 2009). When I tried to contact the company, a customer service person asked me for my phone number so he could open my account to see the charges. Regretfully, I gave it to him and then he wanted my bank account information. I told him I would not give him that info over the phone until I find out what this company is and why I am being charged. He said he could not help me then.

I told him to look up my name, as it is not common, and he asked me what my address was. Again, regretfully, I gave that to him too. Then he told me I was not in the system but he had a list of females with my last name. He wanted my wife's name to see if maybe she made the charges. I knew she didn't because we do not share this account so I would not give him her name. My concern is that now that I gave more of my personal information they can turn around and say that they acquired this info when I signed up for their services. I don't even know what their services are! If signed up for this and I'm paying for it, where is the product(s) I purchased?

I had the same problem that everybody from here had. I just wonder why after all the conplains, AMEX still charges people? Don`t they know theyre stilling? I think they know the situation, but they also gain with that!!

its time to all these people get together and sue them as well! Can`t we find the people behind PASSPORTTOFUN? Where Amex send the money to them?

Have a charge on my Debit card for Shopper Discount in the amount of $12.00. Never ordered anything from Shoppers Discount - they did not put their full contact number on my statment either - only 9 numbers for a telephone appear rather than 10 so I can't even contact them to dispute the charge. Do you have any contact number for them?

I noticed a reoccuring charge on my American Express card a few months ago. I contacted them to reverse and cancell te service that I was being charged $12.00 a month for. I checked again this month and the charge was still happening. I never signed p for this and asked again to have the service canceled and the charges reversed. I was told that they would reverse the $72.00 and was given a referance number. I hope that indeed it will be reversed this time.

The result was 72.00 of charges and the interest charged by the credit card company.

Transactions from these companies keep showing up on my credit card statement and bank statement without having been authhorized by me. I did go online one timet to find a sexual predator list for my neighborhood and my daughter's neighborhood, but did not knowing sign or agree to pay these charges on a monthly basis. I have been unable to reach them by phone and I do not have an address to contact them.

I AM BEING CHARGED A $29.95 AND A $1.00 FEE MONTHLY ON MY CREDIT CARD PLUS THE SAME CHARGES ARE ON MY BANK STATEMENT. tHIS AMOUNTS TO $59.90 PER MONTH THAT I AM BEING ROBBED. I AM 65 YEARS OLD AND CAN NOT AFFORD THIS.

On April 12, 2008 I charged $2.95 on my American Express Card, payable to Intellius for a phone number look-up On April 23, 2008 a charge of 19.95 showed up on my AMEX card from AP9*PMIDENTITY.COM. It has been charged every month since. On December 28, 2008 I finally caught on that I was being scammed. DO NOT EVER PAY FOR Intelius Service on the web. It is a scam. It reported it to AMEX: they have credited the most recent charge and are investigating.

Eight months of charges totaling $159.60.

you know what happened ,this has been going on since 2000 They had better credit back the money they stole from my account very soon or else. No the smooth talking is not going to work here. I want the money they stole from my account and I want it it back NOW

I noticed charge after charge on my credit card and after 6 months I called my cc company and told them to freeze the acct. I kept calling the 800 number my cc gave to me and told them numerous times over and over to stop charging, even threatened them with the ftc. They now are sending letters to my card company and they sent the copies to me, they are saying I signed up for their services online and I had so many days to stop the membership so on and so forth. The funny part if I ordered it online why don't they have the CVV number on the back of my card?

Somebody needs to stop them now, they are getting away with this and trying to con their way out of this. I am a mom of 5 wonderful children but now because of this I wasn't able to by them as much for christmas, but the employees and CEO of this scamming company are having a very merry christmas on the rest of us! CON ARTIST and the need to be STOPPED and thrown in JAIL for THEFT BY DECEPTION!

Over limit fees, being embarrassed in store because my card gets denied from these guys charging it. STRESS that is unneccessary!

Unauthorized charges of $19.95/mo on a business credit card for 8 months before being noticed. Blocked the card and filed disputes on the last three charges, the legal time limit on disputes. Currently waiting on the results.

Out $160 at the moment in some very difficult financial times. Without use of my business credit card until a new one gets issued.

I signed up for the free one-week credit report- you cancel after 7 days and should have no charges. Well, now they have taken 29.95 out of my account twice, though I cancelled the next day after viewing my report.

I have had two charges of 29.95 taken out of my bank and have not been able to get a straight answer from the company. I don't know how to stop the charges, as this is my debit card.

Just checked my checking account and found this charge from this Shoppers Discount for $12. I did not order anything from them, have no idea who they are and obviously they have accessed my debit card number from somewhere. I will be reporting this to my bank and to the state attorney generals office.

I am being charged for who knows what and they have my debit # so now they could do anything.

Checked my bank account this morning and found a $29.95 charge for AP9 Health. I never ordered or subscribed to anything from them. I did sign up to view my credit rating for free, charge was $1.00 and was to be put back into my account. Instead, my account was charged $1.00 twice, then today i find the $29.95 charge from AP9 Health.

Not sure what's going on so I'm taking the advice of this website and writing to the company, copying the Fed. Trade Comm, Atty General in CT and Comsumer Affairs. Thanks for your help. Could compromise Christmas. I don't know how much they'll charge my account next. I'm a single mom with two children and live paycheck to paycheck.

I joined classmates and paid for my 3 month membership. One night I went to my banking website to pay some bills and noticed I was charged $19.95 to my credit card to this service that I never heard of. I had called the number given, unfortunately I don't remember who I spoke with to ask what this was and she informed me it was a service from classmates. I never signed up for this service nor did classmates ever ask If I wanted this service. I cancelled 11/21/08 or 11/22/08. I now go to my banking website and again I am charged $19.95. I should be refunded the money for October and November as it was fraudulantly taken from my credit card.

I am trying to save and pay my bills on time to correct my tainted credit as my husband and I are trying to buy a home. If companies are going to charge people for services they never signed up for it makes it difficult to do as planned.

A $12 charge appeared on my debit card for something called shopper discounts. I called the 800 number and asked about it. The person explained that someone authorized the charge through USAuto. I have never heard of this website. I searched Google for shopper discount scam and noticed many others were complaining about similar charges. Clearly, they are running a scam.

Hoping they refund my $12

We received a debit on our credit card for $12.00 for Shopper Discounts and could not understand why so we called them. They stated that when we ordered Time Life Christmas Rockettes, we checked a box for their services. We do not remember doing that and they conveniently waited to put the charge on November 25th and the Time Life order was placed on October 26th. we believe this is a sneaky way to do business and we also spoke to Time-Life regarding the practice.

There is a $14.95 debit to my credit card every month and I do not know how to get this resolved to remove. I did not sign up for this service

I received information and membership card in the mail from Shoppers Advantage. Fortunately I read the materials that said I was enrolled in SA and would be charged $119.99 after a 30 day free trial. I asked how I got this and they said I had cashed a check for - I believe he said about $8.14 that I had gotten in the mail from the first natl. bank of Omaha.

I often get small rebate checks in the mail so thought nothing of it. This apparently enrolled me in SA. I feel that this is a very deceptive tactic. I called to cancel and the person - Eric - kept trying to get me to continue. He finally did give me a cancellation number. I feel that if I had not caught this given the tremendous amount of junk and enrollment information from banks mail that I get I could have missed this.

i never authorized any payments to this site there was 2 12.00 payments taken out of my account.

Somehow, this company go my credit card info and have been billing me on a regular basis without any communication to that effect. I think they should be prosecuted as a fraudulent organization.

$12 charge per month for no benefits and no notification of involvement.

the company has been charging me 12.00 a month for a service i didn't want i e-mail them to cancel it and there still charging after three months

these cause some overdrft fees to my account

i was billed to my account 12 dollars. i have never heard of this place and have never seen the site until it showed up on my checking account and overdrafted my account. i believe somewhere i bought something online sold my account number and information

i was overdrafted on my account and keep getting a overdraft fee on my account and its up to over 100 dollars now.

I received my Visa bill for October and noted a charge of $169.95. I could not figure out the charge, so I called the number. Gazi was polite when I asked who they were, I never signed up with them, and I wanted a refund. Gazi, before I got the words out I never signed up for this said you're money will be refunded in two days. I asked how this all got started and he said I must have taken a free monthly offer from a Clearing House and the next month started the charges for yearly membership. He provided his name and ID very quickly. He also asked if I wanted him to send me brochures. I said no, thank you.

I contacted my credit card carrier and put a block on the card. However, I then did a search on the web and found Simpleescapes website asking for membership, etc. I never received any literature on this or membership number. I did, however, write them an e-mail and informed them of my findings and my reporting it to my credit card company. They said they'd respond in two days. (I just sent the e-mail today.)

Then I found this web site and read all the comsumer complaints. How stupid I've been. I pulled old bills and find I've paid this yearly charge every October since at least 2005. And your complaint listings repeatedly tell the same story that I've just told you. So now I'm not sure what to do. I will lift the block, see if the money was refunded, and then decide whether to cancel the card.

I used this company for one phone look up at the ONE time price of 14.95. Then closed the account a week later. They never completely closed the account and have billed my credit card since March for 19.95. I have lost 159.60 so far and am actively trying to get my money back. After reading all the complaints about this company it looks like the only way to surely stop them from continuously taking money is to close out the credit card itself.

I called the intellius customer line and after being put on hold for 10 minutes I was put off on an automated voice messaging system. After pushing a thousand buttons I was finally able to speak to a rep who claims my money will be put back in two days. I have read people had the same experience so I don't think that will happen. I'm working with visa now to see what they can do to get my money back and to keep this fraudulent comany from continuing to take money from my account with out authorization

It's mostly the principal. That was money that I worked for. This needs to stop and it needs to stop now. If I am not given my money back I do plan to take this to court.

Two unauthorized charges for 9/08 and 10/08 made to my bank of $19.95. Bank statement showed Discount shopping but bank rep told me that it also showed AP9 Health Plan. Called the company they said it was Shopping Essentials. The Supervisor Evonne ID# 25528 said the charges would be refunded within 2 days and membership cancelled. What membership? I never signed up for a membership.

I'm going to cancel my card anyway. I am also going to contact the BBB, Attorney General's Office [and Consumer Affairs]

An act of FRAUD was perpetrated! Loss of security with my credit card and will need to cancel it. $40.00 taken from my bank account.

I have just checked my credit card statement and have found that I have been charged 8.00 by Shoppers Discount every month and I did not authorise these payment. Neither I had any purchase from Shoppers Discount. I will now contact my bank and ask for details.

I started being charged a $1.oo monthly fee on my credit card beginning 4 months ago. I never heard of this company nor did I authorize for them to deduct this off my credit card.

unknown credit card charges. i filed a complaint with the credit card company also indicating the charges were not authorized

I ordered something for my 88 year old mother and used a debit card. I received the merchandise but some how Shoppers Discount said I registered with them and I started getting a charge of $12.00 per month on my checking account. My problem is how could I have register for something and not know. I feel it was deceiving.

I did call my bank they gave me a number to phone. They did cancel my account my membership and said they would credit my account in 3 to 5 days.

we wished to check our credit scores as it was our understanding that each year you were allowed to check it once for free. The above comany advertized a free credit score with somewhere there being in very fine print an automatic monthly fee to also protect our credit. very simular to freecredit who over tv has had to to say the free part is not free but subject to enrollment in their services.

When told by my credit company that i needed a confirmation number from the above company, i attempted to contact them and found that their automatic phone service associated with the above number would not allow you to talk to a live person to request the refund of our money. The credit card company did exclude future billing from this company without the cancelation number, but I have now way of challenging their belling process which is deceptive.

Shoppers Discount has been charging my credit card $12.00 per month since July 2008. I did not authorize this and I have no idea why they are charging me this fee. When I called them they said it had something to do with a JC Whitney order that I placed on June 3, 2008. I asked them to remove it from my credit card and to credit my credit card for the $48.00 they charged to me. I don't understand how this can happen without my permission.

I bought some concert tickets online from a company called Etix. This purchase was conducted 30 days ago and I just noticed a $12.00 charge on my account that was billed to Shoppers Discount. It was unauthorized and my bank had a telephone number attached to it.

I talked with a lady named Alesha and she told me that I would not be charged anymore. I was also told that my account would be credited $12.00 in the next 3-5 buisiness days.

I had charges pop up on my credit card that I didn't authorized. The charges were finally credited. Now a $1 charge has been showing up on my credit card for savings club. Not that it's alot of money but it was not authorized and if we let them get away with a $1 it's sure adds up.

It put my credit card over the limit due to the unauthorized charges.

I was getting charges on a Credit card and my Bank account from different Ap9* companies for 29.95 and 19.95 6 in total. These charges were not authorized and I never signed up for any service with them or any other comapny.

I was out over 160.00 I called the company to cancel on Sept 16, 2008 and I Was told i would get a refund 3-5 business days

I received a random charge of $12.00 on my bank account from this company. Upon further research...(google) I found out that this is a long running scam. You probably have heard a lot about them. I just wanted to let you guys know that one more person has been duped. I have always contacted my local news station who is going to investigate it.

I'm out $12.00, and I'm not going down without a fight.

I have been charged $19.95 a month since 04/23/08. My bank acount has been going overdraft resulting in higher fees of $42.00 each time. I did not ask for any service and I did not recognize the company on the statement. I have been fraudlently signed up and billed. I have cancelled the check card they were charging to.

Total amount stolen: $79.80 Total amount in bank fees. $168 This is very upsetting. I want something done. Can't they be shut down?

My bank account was charged 4 times without my consent or approval. I am trying to contact someone at AP9 but have not had much success. I want my account credited ASAP.

4 charges in the sum of $61.90. The unauthorized charges caused my account to be overdrawn, thus in turn costing me an additional $29.00. Bringing the total cost to $90.90.

This is concerning my parents. The company AP9 called my mother on the phone and told her how they could save money on groceries. My parents are on a fixed income and in their late 70's and early 80's. This has been over two years ago as far as I know, I will have to do more checking. Since that time they added several other services to her account. My dad can not read and mom is litterly blind in one eye and going blind in the other and has trouble seeing small print with the other.

We figure they have charged them over $340 a month for the last two years. I asked my mother about it and she said she never recieved any information no cards, nothing from the company in the mail. Now my parents are in trouble big time. I looked over the credit card bill and seen this just last month and started cancelling the services. When I called and asked them about this they said they could cancel and never said anything about a refund at that time. Well a month went by and mother recieved another credit card bill and it had two more charges on it.

I called and cancelled but this time they gave me a manager and he said he could refund some of them for two months. When I asked how aperson was to use services they said they had to call and request the cards. My mother never heard that one. I ask them how this company could get by doing this to people and they had no answer. When I got home from Wisconsin, that is where my parents live, I decided to see what was on computer about company. That lead me to you.

My mother just started using the credit card about the time this all started so she was pretty new to it. She could not figure out where the charges were coming from. All she can remember is about the discounted grocery thing none of the rest. She never signed up for any of the other stuff she was charged for. I need help with this one. There is no address for me to give you on this matter for the company and all I have is all the telephone numbers on the credit card bill. And at this time they are in Wisconsin.

under the name of intelius they charged my credit card $11.40 & the $19.95 after offering a one search for $4. The $19.95 was for a subscription. i never joined anything or requested any subsription. The $4 fee did not state there would be any additional charges to bring it up to $11.40. One charge came accros as Intelius-inteliu wa but the phone number just says they are too busy to take calls and hangs up on you. They also published my personal, unlisted information after they obtained it.

Fraudulant charges on my account. When they published our personal, unlisted information they put our safety at risk, as we had moved across country hiding for safety. Also, I have had to close my credit card & have to wait 2 weeks before I can get a new one.

As many others have reported on your site, my wife somehow got signed up for this service without realizing it and monthly charges were made to our credit card for two years before we discovered it. I used the sample letter I found on your site (http://www.consumeraffairs.com/online/simple_escapes_letter.html). MY LETTER WAS RETURNED BECAUSE THE ADDRESS WAS NO LONGER VALID.

Once I found a more current address (in Nebraska), I tried again and it worked like a charm. I copied the Nebraska Attorney General and they followed up with the company resulting in a complete refund of all charges. For the benefit of others please replace the Connecticut address on your site with: 9500 West Dodge Road Omaha, NE 68114 Note: The response letter the company sent to the Nebraska Attorney General showed a different address: P.O. Box 5152, Des Plaines, IL 60017-5152.

My wife and I booked a flight online. 5 months later we notice that for the past 4 months that there had been two unauthorized deductions per month by Reservation Rewards and Shopper Discount for $10 each....a total of $20 a month. Researching this we found out that the company had been accused of fraud many times by consumers because they take the data off the travel sites directly....with no input necessary for the consumer. I protested it, and canceled the card that was used and had a new bark card issued. The next month the bastards had somehow gotten the NEW card number, despite us never using it online! They charged us again! I am closing my bank account to prevent this from happening again.

I will have to continue to protest each and every new charge they make. I also lost the first two months ($40) because too much time had passed, so they got free money off of us.

This $19.95 charge has been on my last 2 credit card statements. I have not looked into it as I just found out. I will be calling them as well as my credit card provider. I did not sign up for anything like this.

They have been charging my acct. and I have received no services.

My credit card was billed for the past two months 12.00 each time for no reason. I have no idea who these people are and of ourse they have an 800 number that does not work. Let me know what you can do about this.

Money being taken out of my bank for nothing.

I was fraudulently signed up for this service. They charged me 17.95 unknowingly. My credit card refuses to pay it saying I knew I was signing up for this service. This company is illegally signing people up for their service withouth knowledge!!

I began receiving debits to my checking account in September of last year. I did not even notice it until I received an overdraft at the end of the year. They had been charging me $1, $14.95 and $29.95 every month. First I complained online. I received reply emails they could not locate my account to cancel it. Exactly! I never joined them. I was fed up with the long reply time and took the email to my bank and they refunded me all fees and charges. Then next month there it was agian. After about 3 back and forth emails they sent me a GOOD phone number. I called and they assured me they would clear it up and never charge me again.

Here I am six months later and all of a sudden I have debits showing up again. When I contacted my bank furious they said I had to contact the company first to get my money back and opened me a new account with new credit card. I received an automated response saying they received my complaint and would contact me no later than 5 days. Its been a month and I still havent heard from them. They do not have a good contact number on their site either. Very frustrated!

i had been noticing a 10.00 charge credited to my debit card. i had no idea where it was coming from & i had no idea how they got my number. i had never even heard of the place. i called my bank & they gave me the number & i called them & they said they would credit it back to my account & take me off their list. i just got my bank statement in today & the money was not put back in there & they charged me again 10.00 & they have been doing this since january or feburary.

the only damage is it could cause my account to be overdrawn because i didn't know they were taking out for it. these people have no right doing this. it's like their stealing our money. as hard as we are having it, i cant afford to pay it each month & it could still cause something to bounce because they have been taking it out of my account.

[They] have charged by Visa account with a charge that I did not authroize. I want it removed now

unauthorized charge on my VISA account

I was charged 12.00 for Shoppers Dicount on my card that I did not authorize, to my knowledge. I called and they advised that it was from a PetChoiceOnline purchase that I made online, but it was not made clear to me that the Shoppers Discount was part of the purchase. I feel this is the new scame going on to make unclear memberships during online purchases. Be AWARE.

I called Shoppers Discount using the phone number on my credit card statement. They allowd me to cancel but I was responsible for the 12.00 charge. I will write the BBB on this online scame. BTW PetChoiceOnline was also outside the US and that was not clear on the purchase either, that may be why this is happening.

I was checking my credit card account on line and noticed an unknown charge for $19.95 from someone or something called AP9*PMIDENTITY.COM-V I have never did any business with this merchant or what ever it is. I went on line and found that this merchant has been ripping off others besides me.

They are charging my checking account monthly and i have no idea who or what they are or how to stop it. Further more i have not signed up for any nor used my account for anything to do with this company.

i do not feel that i should have to open a new account for something i have never used or purchased

We were charged $9.00 on my MC from Shoppers Discount. We never made any purchase now did we give out our credit card #. I want everything with Shoppers Discount cancelled but cannot find anywhere to contact them.

Same story as everyone else, got business cards for a to good to be true price then have been charged ever since. I was charged $19+/- for a few months and canceled but have been charged $1 per month ever since. I have called repeatedly and called again today to get their physical address. I will be in Omaha next week for medical appointments and will call the police from the businesses address and file a report. I'll post another comment if I get anywhere.

I have lost hours of phone and internet time doing research and trying to stop this. The people at my bank think I'm crazy because this has been going on so long and it's only a dollar a month now. I told them it was a buck last month but who knows how much it will be next month. With so many people being ripped off I'm sure the buck a month adds up to hundreds of thousands of dollars.

I have three unauthorized charges on my credit card for the last three months for 19.95. AP9*PMIDENTITY.COM-V. I did not make these purchases and wish to be refunded and these fraudulent charges to stop.

I am paying for something I did not purchase or order and I might be forced to close a credt card which I do not want to do just to make sure I dont continue being charged.

I bought some games online and when asked for a discount of 10 dollars i checked the box, the next thing I knew I was being charged 10 dollars a month. I finally figured out today how to cancel the membership that I knew nothing about. They say nowhere on the site how to cancel this unwanted membership. I finally now have a cancelation number....i hope they wont charge me agaqin......makes me afraid to buy online

10 dollars a month for nothing since nov 1007

This internet scam site has been charging my credit card $9.00/month. I did not what-so-ever access this internet site nor did I give out personal information. I tried access the website when I noticed charges coming from them and they make it impossible to resolve matters. They ask for a username etc...

I feel helpless to resovle this matter on my own. They make it impossible to contact them and this should be a crime.

Sometime in May of 2007 I managed to click a small box while in the Velocity website per AP9*PASSPORTTOFUN+-V. I called the complaints line - only to find that I had became an unaware member of AP9*PASSPORTTOFUN+-V who charged me $14.95 per month...for what? They stated that it was for a $20 dollar rebate for my airline ticket. What was the membership to?They said they sent me an email. I do not remember recieving the email. Could my SPAM blocker have stopped it? The print on the Velocity site for this company must be exceptionally small, as I am good about reading the print around check boxes.

I called the complaints line (May 13, 2008) and cancelled the membership and refunding me $14.95..It has been a 12 month event...wouldn't that amount range around $179.40 for 12 months of what service or product? They have supplied me nothing - other than a $20 rebate? I feel they owe me $179.40 - $20.00 =$159.40

I took an online survey reviewing different companies and products with the promise of a free gift card. When you chose a company you would be forwarded to their website. I decided to try two of the company offers, one being Netflix and the other being Blockbuster. I entered my information into the Netflix and Blockbuster websites as directed. A few days later I had charges pop up on my credit card from AP9*YOURSAVINGSCLUB and AP9*MAINTENANCEFEE. I contacted the number listed on the transaction and canceled the membership as they put it.

One week later I have another charge, this time from AP9*TODAYSESCAPES. Again, I contacted them, this time a different number to cancel this membership. I started looking them up on line and AP9 has a number of companies under them and I found hundreds of complaints against them for the exact same business practice. Some bloggers said they had to cancel credit cards to stop them from charging their accounts because each time they would call and cancel they would get charged again by another one of the AP9 companies.

So far I've only lost $22 but I see that this is problematic for other victims who have not been able to shake this company. Something needs to be done.

They keep charging my bank account and I have no reason why

Going over my credit card statement I found that I've been charged by AP9*PASSPORTTOFUN At first I didn't think much of it because I thought that it my have been for I bought and I didn't look into it in more detail.

Afew months ago by chance i saw a 17 dollars charge that I did not recognise , I called and the person explained to me in terms I did not understand , I asked then to get me out of whatever I did not really undersstand . Today I saw another charge from the same and when I called the denied that I had cancelled and even made me aware that they have been charging me for years (about 3). I am sure that I never signed for this , whatever it is and would like to get back my money from them

about 17 now 20 dollars monthly charged from my card for over 3 years. Overdrafts due to unexpected charges

My mother was recently placed in a nursing home. Upon going through her finances I discovered a $5.95 being deducted from her checking account and has been for at least 2 years that is as far back as I have gotten. I have been to the bank and they had given my some phone numbers but none of them had anything to do with this withdrawel. I have been on the internet trying to track this down and have had no luck. The whole deduction reads AP9*combined C0 Nnectio followed be a few numbers(not a phone number) and my mom's name. I do not know what course of action to take as no one seems to know what this account is for.

I feel it should not be this hard to find a company! I am frustrated!

This company has started making charges on my debit card under several different AP9-shoopingessentials-v, AP9-passporttofun+, these are place I have not dealt with, I want to file fraud charges how do I do that.

I am a mother of three kids and have a limited income and can't afford $14.95 to come off my bank book 2 or three times a month or I wont be able to make my house payment. I have very limited extra cash to play with monthly.

I received a gift certificate in the mail, so I joined this club to use my certificate. The cost was higher than if I paid cash for them. I canceled my membership. Since then they take $1 a month from my checking account, sometimes more. The bank said I have to stop the withdrawals myself. I tried to contact them but no response as of yet. This has been over a year now.

Due to these withdrawals I"ve had checks bounce and had to pay the fees on them.

I saw a charge of $169.95 on my January VISA from a company called AP9*Simple Escapes. I don't know who they are, or what the charge was for. I never ordered nor authorized this charge and called for a refund. They said they had gotten my credit card info from THE COMPANY STORE; must have been when I've shopped on-line. They said I had approved an authorization to join this 'discount club for savings' when I made my purchases through THE COMPANY STORE. I like TCS bedding/pillows, but will never shop on-line with them again if this is the kind of dishonest practices they're a part of.

For more than 6 months now, my AMEX was being charged from this same scam company: membership fees, savings fees, etc. When I continuously called AMEX to complain and told them NOT to place any further charges through, this has now mysteriously appeared instead on my VISA. I am living out of the country right now in Italy, so do always shop on-line. Now, it's going to make me nervous to do so....

They said I would be credited back my $169.95 within 1 week.

This company put a couple of charges on my father-in-law's credit card; the second one was for $199. I called for him the second time, and when I asked what kind of business they had, they told me it was proprietary and confidential. WHAT KIND OF LEGITIMATE BUSINESS IS PROPRIETARY AND CONFIDENTIAL? I checked on ripoffreport.com and others are having similar problems. They do have a website describing their services, so I'm not sure why their customer service and manager couldn't tell me what they did. But beware!

They've charged the credit card twice.

I was charged $8.95 on my credit card several times. I called the number on my statement and no one answered. Got mad. Called the following month and fortunately a nice woman helped me and have not been charged on my credit card again.

However, I got conned into a great deal on saving on my prescriptions, etc., and have since been charged on my bank account $8.95 a month. This one does not show a number, only AP9*combined connection. I have just written to them online and expect to hear from them soon. We will see. I am sorry we are all having to deal with companies that are so inconsistent. Yes, we as consumers should be more diligent about our stuff. And thank you for allowing us to speak.

Since October 2006 I have been charged a fee from a company I never even heard of. I did not sign-up for or agree to any such transactions. I have Googled the phone number listed on my bill and have found that this company goes by different names i.e. todaysescapes-program.com as well as others.

$157.25 has been charged to my credit card.

Ap9 Shopping Essentials has 6-10 unauthorized charges to my bank card so far. I did not sign up for anything, but I keep getting these charges. I already had to replace a check card once about a month and a half ago, and now the same thing is happening again. Help! I have not gotten any of this money back yet! So far they've taken over $100; I can't spare that much!

On 08/28/07 a charge for $14.95 appeared on my bank statement from Ap9 Businessmax. I had no idea who or what they were. I looked them up on the Internet and knew for sure I had never done business with them - I can't even figure out what they sell. Further research showed that they seemingly obtained my information from Vista Print from whom I did order business cards 07/23/07. I tried unsuccessfully to contact them. I am now in the process of notifying my bank and any one else I can to reverse this charge, prevent future charges and let other people know to beware.

I didn't purchase any item from this company and they charged me each month USD 14.95 since Feb. 2007. I didn't pay attention to it when after I requested Washington Mutual the closing of my credit card VISA ending 7650, the company continue to charge me of the same amount. I made a claim with them. They promised to refund me the last two months and cancel the transaction. Instead of it they charged me again on 8/30 and on 9/12/07.

It is weird although the monthly is small. But at long, it is a troublesome. I ask your assistance. Thao Nguyen

After we stopped using one of our credit cards, I saw that this company called AP9 GalleriaUSA charged us $13.95. I then looked more carefully at credit card statements dating back 2 years to find that they had been charging us small amounts every month. I called our CC company to learn that they are a marketing firm and are third-party affiliated with big companies like Chase.

I contacted them directly to ask them what services they provided and why they were charging me for 2 years. I learned that I had unknowingly (they claim knowingly) agreed to their services through Snapfish when I signed up for an account. The services they supposedly provide are discount cards to retail stores like Lane Bryant, places I where I definitely wouldn't shop. At any rate, I got incredibly angry and the manager canceled my account and refunded me 2 months. We will now follow up with our credit card.

Because I didn't look carefully at my credit card bill (they charged small amounts like $8.95-$13.95), I assumed it was a charge from my husband's lunch or something similar. Over the course of two years, we were charged over $275. I still haven't tallied it up because I'm so disgusted with my irresponsibility in not catching this earlier.

I ordered rubber stamps from the Vista Print site and was asked to check the box for a $10.00 credit on my next order. One month lather I had an unauthorized charge fo 14.95.I called the number and I was assured that it would be canceled and my card credited

So far I am not out anything if they credit my account,,It is just the idea that I trusted the company in good faith

I ordered rubber stamps from the Vista Print site and was asked to check the box for a $10 credit on my next order. One month later I had an unauthorized charge of $14.95. I called the number and I was assured that it would be canceled and my card credited.

So far I am not out anything, if they credit my account. It is just the idea that I trusted the company in good faith.

When I lived in another state, Simply You began charging me on my Providian Visa, now several years later, I am battling with Ap9 Shopping Essentials (same Visa). I called to cancel and was told they would only credit me back the most recent charge (of $19.95). By the time I received my Visa statement and contacted them, they already had charged me for another month. I argued that I never ordered or received anything from them and deserved credit for any and all charges made to my Visa, which they refuse to do, but do assure me my subscription is canceled.

But each month, my Visa statement shows their $19.95 charge and no credit. The Visa company have sent me some forms for me to fill out and send back to them, so they can investigate the charges. But this keeps happening; different amounts, different companies thru the years, but the same scam.

I was checking my bank statement online and came across a charge of $109.95 from a company I had never heard of VSEscapes. I called the number listed by the purchase and was greeted by a recorded message that I had reached Vicoria's Secret Escapes, all operators are busy, but, I can enter my membership number for automated assistance. I was dumbfounded. I had no kind of membership with Victoia's Secret.

When the word membership clicked in my head, I started thinking whoa, this must mean more than one time charge for something I know nothing about. I immedietly keyed in the website and low and behold to my surprise I find I've been scammed by a company myself and many others find to be highly reputable.

I will be contacting my bank to file a complaint tomorrow, and as I work for the bank I will make sure that everyone I have contact with both associates and customers be aware of this horrible scam to steal from innocent people.

I signed up for a free 14-day trial in which I decided to cancel within the 14 days. I was looking at my latest credit card statement and noticed that they were still charging me the $24.95 monthly fee. I cancelled with them in 07/2006 and as of 03/2007 I was still being charged. I called to explain this and they said they had no record of my canceling and that they could only refund 2 months. I know for a FACT that I cancelled within the initial 2 week "free trial."

We ordered an exercise tape from Windsor Pilates and then began being charged 14.95 per month by AP9 Simply You. We have never heard of this company and did not give permission to be signed up for it and did not give out information. Now they say they did have permission via the company we ordered from and say it is our fault for not checking our statement.

WE are now out $150 over the course of the year that we did not catch the fraudulent charge. There are many people this has happened to. HOwever the company still refuses to refund the charges even though their services were never used. ( Mainly due to us not being members to our knowledge)
