I ordered a Halloween Costume for a party that would be held Friday, Oct 24th. I placed the order on Tuesday, Oct 21st with expedited delivery and a guaranteed delivery date of Thursday Oct 23rd. It did not arrive Thursday nor did it arrive today Oct 24th. After waiting on hold for nearly an hour tonight, I was told my order was on its way and then hung up on. When I called back, and waited another 25 minutes I was informed that my order would arrive Saturday Oct 25th. I was advised, there would be no refund for the expedited shipping charge, nor could I return the item as their Halloween policy was no returns.

After I explained that I had no use for the costume on Saturday and I would like to speak to a manager, I was placed on hold for 45 minutes and then once again disconnected! When I called back- I was informed that I was the 24th caller and would have an average wait time of 49 minutes. This is clearly a tactic devised to avoid having to deal with customer issues and having read the multiple complaints here and on BBB I cannot understand how this company is still in business?????? Is anyone going to do anything about this?


I ordered a pair of child's witch shoes for my daughter for Halloween. I received them on October 3rd. My daughter tried them on and they were extremely large. I called brandsonsale of October 7th to get an RMA (return authorization number) so that I could return them and have my credit card credited for the item. The man who answered the phone told me I couldn't return the shoes because they had been worn. Their return policy clearly states that they do not accept returns on shoes the show obvious wear. I explained to the gentleman that the shoes had not been worn except for my daughter to try on. I hardly think that is considered wearing. That man put me on hold and never came back on the phone.

I called back 30 minutes later and spoke to someone who identified herself as Denyse. I explained the situation and she said that there was a problem with the transfer system on their phone, the supervisor was going to check into it and she would call me back. No phone call.

Another 30 minutes later and I called again. The lady who answered the phone that time told me to email a certain individual and that he would email me a return authorization number. I emailed him and never received a return email. Now it is past the 7 day time frame that this company gives you to call if you need a return. So, I call again and another young man reads me what it says on the computer about my phone calls. He says that it says the shoes have been worn and now it is past the time frame for a return. He advised me to contact a supervisor named Trevor and supplied me with his email. According to his computer, Trevor had sent me an email regarding this matter which I never received.

I am stuck with $27 dollar witch shoes that don't fit! Maybe not a big deal, but what bothers me most is how this situation was dealt with by this company and its terrible return policies. Never have a dealt with an online company that was so difficult. I shop online frequently and have never had any issues returning any purchases. I think this company should be put out of business.



I purchased a costume For my 4 years old in a size 6-8. When i received the costume, it did not fit him, so i called and ask to exchange the item because it did not fit him, keeping in mind that this is Halloween season, and i needed the cosyume for a school play. I paid over $50.00 for this costume. All they could advise me was to have my son wear some brown socks because they could not exchange it for me. I never asked for my money back, all i wanted was abigger size because what they sent me was surely not a size 6-8 which should have been way to big for a 4 year old boy.


i paid over $50.00 for something that was not accurate in their size chart.



I purchased several costumes from www.Brandsonsale.com the costumes came in a plastic bag, no insert with no identification markings execpt a tag which states made in china. There is no company name or RN# which I believe is illegal to import without this.

There is no way to find out who manufactuered these costumes.

Consequences:- Loss of revenue could be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, depends on how many are sold. The costumes are also copies of our copyrighted images and costumes


On January the 12th, 2006 I ordered a dozen bandanas from this website, totaling $19.96 I then look at the shipping charge and notice I was being charged $108.35. giving me a total of $128.31. Immediately I contacted the company via email asking for someone to contact me regarding what I assumed was a typo. But no response. Today Jan 17th, 2006 I received the package and found that I was charged $108.35 for 2nd day UPS Shipping.

When I last checked today with UPS they said their 2nd day shipping fee in the united states is $19.36 I realized something was seriously wrong. I called them 3 times today to dispute this and was told I approved it and that there was nothing I could do. I was told I was charged an extra $88.99 in addition to what ups charges for 2nd day. The extra was for their handling cost. No where on their website does it stipulate that an extra handling fee of 88.99 would be added to my order. I had told him this and he said, Eat Shit. Props to their customer service reps.

Later, I went on line to the same company, ordered the same item and was quoted. $19.10 as my subtotal and for shipping 2nd day air again with ups I was quoted $25.66 giving me a total of $44.76. The package weighs 2lbs. Why was my shipping total $60 less today?
The second time I called they blew me off again saying.. that is their policy there is nothing I can do and they can charge whatever they want it is not illegal.

If you look up the better business bureau you will find many complaints on this company but yet nothing done about it. Why Not?

I have copies and paper trails I could produce and plenty of time to do it to stop this scam from happening to more people. In addition to Consumer Affairs I have logged complaints to the following: BBB, NYS Attorney General Elliot Spitzer, California State Attorney General's Office, Aol.com, e-bay, Google and yahoo


I am out $88.99. I have no problem with the product and the 2nd day shipping fee that UPS charges $19.36 for. But as for the $88.99 charge for handling I will not pay there is no justification on the companies part for that charge. I would like to be credited the additional charge of 88.99 they claim is leagal to charge some one for handling when it's clearly not stipulated on their website.


I ordered sevearl Halloween costume items on 9/6/05 for a total of 194.67. The website ordering system indicated that all itmes were in stock. On 9/24/05, I had not had a response. I emailed twice before learning via email from Matthew McDonald that some of the items were backordered. I emailed back to ask which items were backordered and whether those in stock could be sent to me. My email was bounced back as not deliverable. It took two more emails and two phone calls before I got a response. I then asked for all of the times available to be sent to me. After 10 days, I still had not heard anything.

I emailed twice and called once before learning via email from Josh Auger that all itmes were in stock, but that they had failed to process my order properly. The email on 10/11 said that all items would be shipped out on 10/12/05. On 10/21/05 I still had no word from Brands on Sale and emailed and called re: status of the order. My email to Josh Auger was bounced back as not deliverable. I have not recieved a response. I have cancelled my oder with this company.
