I received a phone call that these people would help me with my credit card debt. They charged me $790.00 on September 4, 2009 on my Visa card and I heard from them only one time. I have attempted to call them, their phone number was no longer working. Gave me a phone number, at this number I reached an Ed **.

I left my name and number and have not received any calls from this man. I do not know who he is or what he does or even if he is affiliated with this company. I am trying to get my $790.00 back and need assistance with this. My credit card company stated the transaction was over 130 days old and can not help me. Is there anything that can be done about this?

My credit card company called to tell me that there was suspicious activity on my account. I checked, and there were 5 unauthorized charges (all under $5) made by different companies on my credit card. These charges came from companies including:

My credit card company canceled my card, reimbursed me for the fraud charges, and reissued a new card. They said they would investigate.

A few days later, I received unrequested "samples" in the mail. I have no idea what to do with these.

I have not suffered any loss, thanks to good fraud prevention by my credit card company. Still, it is frightening that such a thing can happen when I am very careful with my credit card number. I am reporting this in case it is helpful to someone else.
