In early august 2010, I was filling out a form for Walmart when I was led to a webpage for swipe bids. I was totally misled that I could bid on an item free. It was 150.00 just to bid and to buy bid packs, also misleading. Thought I was spending 4.50, it was 450.00. I received a call too late from my phone fraud line. I was not looking to go to an auction site. Never had before and never will again. I asked my bank not to let my money go from my account, it was the 150 and then the 450.00. They refused. I explained that I was deceived.
That money was most of my social security check for the month! Eventually, I got back the 150.00 as they had not made it really clear that it would cost me anything. I filled out a form and eventually received the 150. I still have not gotten the 450.00.
I checked online and swipe bids changed to swipe auctions and many many complains. Same as mine. I sent an e-mail to someone named Jenna, he was supposed to help me to get my money back as there were emergency funds set up. But I have tried many times unsuccessfully to get back the 450.00 that was taken from me. I am not alone. Too many people were robbed. In my case, I was just trying to see if I could win a computer for my grandson, who was sitting with me at the time. I saw where some people were buying them for 40.00.
