I was taken by this scam. I agreed to a $1 charge and responded to emails to cancel this and was billed $129.95. I spoke to a representative on 12/24/2010 and was advised of a credit. I never received the credit and on 1/25/2010. My bank made contact with BJ at this company who advised that this amount would be credited. Now in March, a Randy W advised my bank that there will be no credit given, that my $129.95 was non-refundable. I only agreed to a charge of $1.95 not $129.95. You can no longer reach this company by telephone. This type of scam must be stopped.
Consumer Complaints & Reviews

On 12/15 I answered an ad on the internet per the link above. They deducted $1.95 from my account. I called them back within a few hours and cancelled the account. I spoke to a woman who said the account was cancelled. I received no cancellation notification. On 12/18 my account was debited $129.95. I disputed it with my bank but somehow their lies carried more weight than my truth. I am majorly cash poor right now. This is mucking up my meager finances.

There was an article on AOL's home page about a company that was hiring workers to work at home. I can't remember exactly what it said, but I clicked the link to the article.
I read the article and it talked about the company and the start up rate ($1.95)
I clicked the link to go to the website, and it said the cost and what you are expected to get for $1.95
It doesn't say anything about any other costs at all.
The next day my account was debited the $1.95, but days later I was billed
$129.00 appx
I tried contacting the company by sending an email, and the email came back. It was undeliverable. There is no phone number on the website.
I later found out through their Terms and Services (on the bottom of the website) that you have to cancel within 3 days. That's why I was billed.
