My son went and bought a pair of sneakers for the first time by himself. When he got home and showed them to me, I told him that they where damaged so we have to exchange them for another pair. When he tried to return them. they said that I would have to return them to the manufacturer (DC Shoes in California). I was very hurt by this because it was only less then a week by the time I was able to get out of the house and help him.
On the receipt, it says, "We gladly exchange, store credit but no refunds," which is fine. We just want another pair! So I got a hold of DC Shoes in California and now I have to return them to them and I have to pay for shipping. I already payed $55 for a pair of sneakers that he can't wear. I feel that the company should pay for the return of this or even the store where we bought them from.
Could you please help me figure out who should pay for this and how I should go about getting a new pair of sneakers? I don't mind returning them to get another pair but my son really needs the sneakers and I really would like to get them right away, not in a few weeks.
