Circuit City - Rebates

Consumer Complaints & Reviews

I almost was scammed by this company; however, I stop their sales pitch on the phone.

CircuitCity.com had a $10 rebate on this item link, but I didn't read more into the link to know it was an advertisement for Great Fun. When they tried to sell me some sort of membership I did not want, I knew this was a scam. Although, they have high pressure tactics to pursue you into buying their membership saying it is free for 30 days, I know that any company that promotes this crap has the ability to keep charging you. So, I told them that I am using a joint card and need to get verification before I can even charge .50 cents to my card. Apparently, even if they send you the rebate for $10, when you endorse the check, you automatically get signed up for the membership (read the fine print). Just forget about the $10 rebate because it is all **

I learned to never give out any information to anyone and never be afraid to hang up the phone.

Store offered $50 rebate when purchasing a Logitech QuickCam which we did on 11/29/08. Processed rebate via their website 12/10/08 which they validated and gave me a check #. Didn't receive check, checked website and site is shut down and no info available. They had to know that they had NO INTENTION to honor rebate before bankruptcy closing.

Circuit City, rebate offer never got the rebate 180.oo

I purchased a QuickCam on Black Friday and submitted a $50 rebate. I received an email that the rebate check was processed and mailed. I never got it. I emailed them and this is the reply I got:

Thank you for your rebate inquiry. We are pleased to inform you that check
number 9476159 was sent to be printed on 01/21/2009. Generally, customers
receive their checks within 7-10 business days from this date but we must wait 30 days before we can reissue a check. If you have not received your check within 30 days of the printing date, please contact us again and we will be happy to stop payment on the original check and issue a new one. Be sure to
include your complete mailing address at that time so that we can verify it
against the address we have on file.

When I contacted them after 30 days, they were no longer in business and not responding to inquiries.

purchased a HP laptop with a rebate of $150.00 It was mailed in status date 12.10.08 still no check, there was a check number issued, please look into this thanks!

I got an email on Feb4, 2009 from parago (notifications@parago.com) saying that I'll get my circuit city rebate of 10$ within 10 days. But I haven't got that yet. When I talked to them, they told me to contact circuit city website but CCity is out of business. Even in the website of parago I found my rebate status marked as valid. But they are just ignoring everything and saying that they dont know how long it will take to send me the rebate.

I have wasted more than 2 hours of my valuable working times. (I called them 3 times and I spent my time to search for their phone number.)

i submitted my mail in rebates form with all the receipts and they refused to send me the check

I submitted two purchases for rebates totaling $80 (paperless) rebates on 11-29-2008. I received an e-mail stating the rebates were processed 1/21/09 and two separate checks were issued. The checks did not arrive. I contacted CC rebate on 2/3/09 the representative said to call back after 2/21/09 to request re-issue of checks if they had not been received. I tried to contact anyone with the company and e-mailed 2/27/09 without a response. A web site directed inquiries to was a circular reference. How can I receive my rebates? At the time I submitted CC had not filed bankruptcy.

I am out $80 in rebates.

I'm one of the persons that bought articles on Black Friday, the 28th of November, 2008. Circuit City gave me three rebates of products I bought there, they also gave me confirmation numbers of the rebates and they never send me my check. I bough a $649.99 HP G50-118NR with a rebate of $150.00,confirmation number, a $29.99 SanDisk with a rebate of $10.00,confirmation number and a $50.00 rebate of the HP company. The HP company representatives told me that my HP laptop didn't qualify for a rebate and they refused to give it to me. My total saving that Black Friday was $210.00 and I have read in different e.mail that many people were cheated by Circuit City before they closed. Please What can I do?

I woke up very early that day, I have lost a lot of time sending information to the HP company and visiting the store that now is a property of Bank of America, and the hours lost trying to contact them by phone and in different web site web site.

I purchased some items back in early 2008, submitted my rebate request forms and finally received an email 9 months on Feb 4th saying that I would be receiving my rebate checks in the mail in 5-10 business days. It is now March 20 and no checks. There is no way to check on the status or tracking the checks as the Circuit City websites are now down due to their closing. Any ideas?

Was short on rent due to the no receival of promised rebate.

purchased a HP notebook computer with $150.00 rebate, send all paper work in Circuit City sent me check # and the date 12-10-2008 and still no check, how can they send you a email with check # and no check. The rebate was for $150.00 and when you track it on circuit city rebate tracking it said check infor please check this out for me thanks

12/20/2008-purchased Lexmark x4850 printer advertised at $69.99 afer instant $60 rebate and $20 mail in rebate. Advertised price effective 12/18-12/20/2008. Had to ask cashier for rebate form which he could not get to print. Resulted in manager going to office to rpint rebate form. Came home and filed rebate on line. After 2 months of waiting, went online to check status. Status shows invalid date as purchase date on rebate between 11/27-11/29/2008.

Went to store to question and was informed they cannot help me. Referred me to 1-800-the-city which also proved useless in only directing me to circuit city's announcement site. No wonder they are going out of business, such poor customer service and fraudulent advertisements.

Now out the $20 rebate. If it wasn't too late, I would return the $2000 tv and computer I bought from them.

I purchased a HP laptop on black Friday as a gift for my son for Christmas which came with a $150.00 rebate. I sent in all the information, got an email on 1/29/09 saying that my rebate was processed and a tracking number along with a statement that I should receive my rebate in 5-10 business days, well here it is now 3/16/09 and still no rebate. When you call the phone number it directs you to the web site and that web site directs you to [another site]. Basically stating that have no information at this time wheather or not you are going to get your rebate.

I feel like I have been cheated out of my $150.00. I never would have bought this laptop from them if I had known I was not going to get the rebate. I feel like this was fraud on circuit City's part. They said they were sending me the check and they didn't. I have copies of the email they sent, but what good does that do me. I don't have any funds to do anything legally, so I guess they win.

My husband purchased a notebook computer for my daughter at Christmas time and it was eligible for a $150 rebate, which is why we chose it. I received an e-mail on 1/22/09 that it was processed and we should receive the rebate in 5-10 business days. On February 13 I e-mailed them to inquire why I had not received it yet & was given a check number that was issued on 1/21/09 and told nothing could be done until 30 days of the printed date of the check had passed. If I had not yet received it I was instructed to contact them and they would stop payment on the check and reissue it. When I tried to contact them again I got a reply stating they are unable to update the status. My son bought the same computer and same problem. I feel they are trying to get out of honoring the rebates.

On November 28, 2008, I registered my $150 Circuit City rebate after purchasing a HP Notebook Computer. On February 10 I enquired about the rebate and was told that it had been mailed January 19 and that they could not reship the rebate until 30 days had passed. On Feb. 21 I asked again and received no response. Now, of course, I've reached a dead end. They are not responding to enquiries, the website is shut down and the only message I receive is that they cannot give me a status on my rebate.

I purchased an HP laptop computer/lexmark printer/Sandisk flash drive bundle from Circuit City on Black Friday, Nov. 28, 2008. The purchase came with three Circuit City rebates of $150.00, $20,00 and $10.00, which I submitted and received e-mails saying all three were accepted. On 1/16/09 I heard that Circuit City was going out of business so I called the rebate info number to ask if Circuit City would still be honoring the rebates even though they were closing and I was told yes. I also submitted an e-mail and asked the same question and received a response saying that the three checks were sent to be printed on 1/21/09 and to allow 7-10 business days to receive the checks. I also received three e-mails on 1/22/09, one for each rebate, informing me that my rebates were processed and I could expect to receive my reward in the next 5-10 business days. I also checked the status of all three rebates on-line and it stated the rebates were valid and supplied the check numbers that were issued.

After 10 days had passed I did not receive any of the rebate checks them so I called and was told that the checks were not mailed out and they would be mailed out soon and I should have them in 10-15 days. I also replied to the the e-mail I had received saying the checks were processed informing them I never received the checks to see what kind of response I would get and I got a response saying I had to wait 30 days and if I didn't receive the checks within 30 days they could put a stop payment and issue new checks. I responded saying that when I called I was told the checks were never even mailed out and could they check and see if it was true. I received the exact same response that I had to wait 30 days from the check printing date.

On 2/21/09 I called and was told the checks were still not mailed and I would have to wait a little longer. At this point I asked to speak to a supervisor who said his name was Bo and his number was ES0235. He tried to tell me the same thing, that the checks would be mailed and I would have to wait a little longer. I told him that I thought that they were going to keep saying the checks were going to be mailed until Circuit City closed and then nothing could be done. He then asked me to hold on a minute and then got back on and told me that they he had been instructed to say that he could give me further information.

I told them I wanted a number where I could talk to a person, not an automated machine. I never received a response to my e-mail. I called the Circuit City in Deptford, NJ where I bought the computer and they said they couldn't do anything and only gave me an 800 number to call which was automated and to inquire about rebates it only connected me to Parago. I called Parago again on 2/24 and was told the same thing, the checks were not mailed and to wait a little longer.

I called again on 3/6 and now there is an automated message saying they can no longer provide status on specifc rebates and they refer you to http://investor.circuitcity.com/announcement.cfm for further information. There is a FAQ document on returns, refunds, and rebates on website. The document was originally for returns and refunds only but was updated to now include rebates and it says the same thing the recorded message says, that they cannot provide a status update as to particular rebate submittals and will provide more information as it becomes available. I found a number for Circuit City Headquarters but got a message saying the line is no longer a working line.

I am owed $180.00 that it appears I will never receive, however I cannot get anyone to to give me a straight answer and now I can't even get anyone to even talk to.

I was expecting 3 rebate checks each in the amount of $150., $30., $40. According to their website the checks were issued all on January 21, 2009 when I called on February 18th, 2009 I was advised to call back after February 21, 2009 to have the checks reissued.

Now every time I call the line is busy no matter what time it is. Since the 3 checks never arrived, I believe that they were never mailed if they were I should have received at least 1 out of the 3 checks. Is there anyway of getting these rebate checks reissued since I can't get through to the company?

I purchased an HP laptop at Circuit City on black friday of 2008. It a rebate of $150. I mailed everything, the rebate was valid, and I received an email saying I would receive my check within 5-10 business. Two weeks went by and NOTHING. I called the rebate hotline and they said one more week. A total of three weeks went by and still NOTHING.

The number for the rebate hotline is now answered by a recording basically saying they have no further information as to when customers can expect their money. The stupid websites all say the same thing. Don't buy ANYTHING from Circuit City. All they want to do is rip people off! I'm a college student who is not working and I can't ask my parents for funds all the time. I needed my money. I STILL need my money.

I bought a Sony computer on last Thanksgiving, with $70.00 mail-in rebates. I sent rebate submission by mail on Dec 1st/2008. On Dec 8th.2008 I received e-mai from Circuit City that they received my submission (rebate tracking number is 306308040). But I never received my rebate. Now, Circuit City is closing their stores and post on site that is unable to process the rabates.

I bought the computer to pay in 24 installments. Circuit City is closing but anyway I need to pay my debit, right? Why can I receive my credit (70.00)? I just bought this computer in Circuit City because they offer me this rebate.

I bought the ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite from Circuit City Store, Inc. after seeing an ad in the Sunday's paper inserts. It was on sale for $14.99 after $25 mail-in rebate & $10 instant rebate. I paid $42.39 total for it. I still have the paper and receipt for it. I bought it on February 28, 2008. I called the number that is listed after about 6 weeks about my $25 and was told it might take 3 months. I never received my money and did not think about it again until I started getting notices on the pc that the ZoneAlarm was expiring and I needed to renew my ZoneAlarm. I was about to renew when I realized I never received my rebate money. I tried contacting them last week on the Feb. 25, 2008 but I got frustrated because I never was able to contact them plus I was sick.

I called today after seeing the renewal on my pc and I was able to talk to someone who kept telling me that ZoneAlarm did not owe me but Circuit City did. I asked why did I have to send everything to ZoneAlarm in Pennsylvania if that was the case. I also let him know that I was not foolish enough to do business with ZoneAlarm anymore because they had already cheated me and that I was going to get in touch with the Better Business Bureau, but I remember I could contact you. I hope that you can straighten this out because I am a retired person and I need my money.

I suffered economically because I am retired, live alone and need my money. Times are hard for everyone and I feel I have been misused.

Purchased a HP lap top, the rebate was for $ 150.00,I have check # and amt but still no check from them.I've sent them multiable emails, and they keep stating they are going to send another check out.The rebate is valid. This has been going on since December

purchased a HP notebook, with rebate for $150.00. I sent everything that was needed, went online and never recvd it, sent it again, also sent 1 certified to them. Still no check

Purchased a computer & printer. Was supposed to recieve a rebate for each. Form submitted 11/28/08, was told 8-10 weeks to recieve. Called several times and was told checks are on their way. Spoke w/ a supervisor 2/24/09 and was told checks created 1/21/09 but have not been mailed and they don't know when they will be mailed.

Spent at least 3 hours on the phone with them. This purchase was for daughter and she paid me back less the rebate amount.

purchased a laptop with rebate from circuit city for $150.00 and never recvd it said they send it in January, and they keep saying they send it I sent in all paper work for this thanks!

I bought a computer HP G50118NR, but I still am waiting for the rebate 150$

I ordered a product online under their 24 minutes or $24 gift card poicy and showed up at the store an hour later and the product wasn't waiting for me. The Manager explained to me that the 24 minutes refers to the time between when I pay for the product at the cash register and I get it. That's false advertising. I googled circuit city and discovered others with the same issue. Why would I pre-order something and wait for 24 minutes when I could have picked it up off the shelf, paid and been out of the store in less than the time it took a circuit city employee to pull it from the back?

Waiting, agitation, patronized by manager.

Never did honor rebates on several occassions!

I was really depending on receiving the rebate check to put towards my household expenses!

I purchased a Samsung 40 inch televisiob set on December 18, 2007. There was an offer of a $100 gift certificate at the NFL Shop included. The paperwork was mailed immediately bur Circuit City has refused to send the certificate despite repeated telephone calls and on-line demands.

Enrique is the Verizon rep working at Circuit City to sell internet/cable/phone packages. I went to Circuit City to buy a TV and he sold me a bundle package that included a $250 automatic rebate - he assured me I need do nothing, that once my service was installed I would automatically receive the rebate within 8-10 weeks. It states on the flyer Allow 8-10 weeks after install to process auto-rebates. He wrote down the name of the rebate processing center and number for me to call, etc.

Well, my service was installed on March 19 and still no rebate. The rebate center (Parago) claims to have no record of my rebate, Verizon customer service claims to have no knowledge of this rebate (even though I have a printed flyer outlining the terms), and the Verizon rep says he has given my information to his supervisor - whoever that is. I have called and e-mailed and done all I know to do at this point - by the way, on the flyer offering the rebate, it indicates that the bundle is for one year of service and that I will be charged an early termination fee. I suspect that they will charge me if I cancel my service and feel that I would have no recourse. I feel that I was offered the rebate as an enticement to sign up for one year of service from Verizon and that they expect me to give up on getting it.

I expected to get a $250 rebate for signing up for service -- now I am paying approx. $130 per month for the bundle service. On principle, I would cancel the service and switch to a different provider except that according to the offer, an annual contract is required. It seems that I have to hold up my end of the deal and they do not.

INQUIRY REGARDING OTHER POTENTIAL CLASS MEMBERS In May 2007 I bought a laptop through Circuit City. The service staff pressured me to buy a printer, spyware system and router, all of which were being offered as rebate items, since, after the rebate, these items would be free. I bought all these things under Circuit Citys no interest for 6 months program.

Part of the sales pitch was Id get the rebate before the 6 months were up, so I could pay with my rebate money before interest started to run. I applied for the rebates but I never received them. The staff at Circuit City just ignores my requests for help, and I am now being hassled by the bank with the threat that my credit will be ruined. The bank wants interest back to the date of the original purchase.

I purchased a playstation 3 on 03/26/08 from Circuitcity in Laguna Hills, CA and my son (Sang) picked it up at another CircuitCity in Overland Park, KS. My son called me up on Saturday, 04/12/08 and he told me that the unit is defective, then I told him that you just bring it back to the store (Overland Park, KS) to exchange it because it is still within 30 days, according to the circuitcity's policy. But the manager, Aaron, refused to exchange for him. He even told my son and me (I called and talked to him over the phone) to return to Sony not to the store. I complained to the CircuitCity corporate office in VA too. But I have not heard anything yet. What should I do? Please advise.

I contacted Circuit to inquire about purchasing an Optoma HD 70 Projector for a friend who found it on their website. Since he lives out of the country, he normally sends me the money to purchase what he wants, and I go buy the item and then I mail it to him. The original price for the Optoma HD 70 projector was $999.00, but it was advertised as on sale for $949.99 and had an additional $400.00 rebate on top of that amount. The rebate amount was clearly visible on the pages of Circuit City's website, and I have maintained a screen shot of it. My friend had asked me to contact them to ask whether the rebate was coming from Circuit City itself or Optoma so that he could determine if he had to mail in to Optoma in order to recover it or would it be an instant rebate after purchase with Circuit City. This information as to how the $400.00 rebate would be given back or as to which company, (Circuit City or Optoma) would provide it, was not being displayed unless I finalized the check out process.

When I asked Steve this question, he researched it and then put me on hold for about two minutes. When he returned to the phone, he said that the $400.00 rebate was a mistake and that only $200.00 was the correct rebate and that it was coming from Optoma. I told him that it seemed to me to be a clear case of baiting a customer with an offer and switching the offer when the customer accepted. He disagreed and told me that the website would be corrected. I took screenshots of the offers in order to file complaints. I noticed when I refreshed my page, after saving the screenshots, that the item still had a $400.00 rebate mentioned on it; however, now the item was listed as UNAVAILABLE for purchase.

None for me. However, my friend, who lives in India, has already spent his funds and time, sending the money to me via courier based on his belief that he could purchase this item with the terms that were listed. As a matter of note, I have dealt with Circuit City myself on numerous occasions and was not surprised one bit to find that they would rescind on their advertised items. It has been my own experience that they rarely have the items they advertise in stock and further, I, myself, have experienced past misunderstandings about rebate amounts.

I am writing because I am very unhappy about purchases I made at Circuit City for Christmas gifts for my four kids. I was led to believe their deceptive, promotional advertising that when I purchased four Acer laptops, I would receive four rebates of $200.00 each, for a total of $800.00. I would not have been able to afford them otherwise. Now, after not getting the rebates, I find out through their Rebate Office that I can only get $200.00 total for all four laptops. To make matters worse, I cannot return them because the 30-day Christmas purchase return policy does not apply to laptops. (This is what I was told by David #866965.) I saw the promotion for these laptops, and not only did I purchase these items from Circuit City. I also purchased a 22-inch flat screen monitor and four memory sticks. If I had known that I would only get one rebate, I would have ordered only one laptop. Other relatives could have ordered the other ones for me separately. The bottom line is that I would not have made this purchase if I had been given accurate information about the rebate initially.

I am requesting of Circuit City that a rebate of $600.00 be forwarded to me as soon as possible. If this cannot be done, than I would like to refund three of the laptops I purchased, even though I would prefer the rebate. Please resolve this problem for me. If they don't or say they can't, I will never step foot in another Circuit City store, and I will spread the word about how I was basically lied to and ripped off.

I purchased two Smartparts 7 digital photo frames from Circuit City to give as Christmas presents. The in-store ad listed a sale price of $89.99. This included a $20 mail-in rebate. I was not aware that there was a rebate on the product until they were rung up at the register, and I questioned what I was being charged. The associate said there was a rebate and proceeded to print out the form. He told me that I just needed to make a copy of the one form to send in for the second rebate. Several weeks after purchasing and giving the items away, I reviewed the rebate form and learned that the rebate was ONE per customer. This is completely UNFAIR as the price was my incentive for making the purchases. I also learned that a copy of the UPC code from the package was required. Of course, I no longer had the packages as they were given as gifts.

I returned to the store to register a complaint, and the manager told me that it would have been stated in the ad that the offer was one per customer, but he couldn't (or wouldn't) produce a copy of the ad to prove that. When I said that I learned about the rebate and restrictions AFTER making the purchase, since the rebate form wasn't printed until after I made the purchase, he informed me that I could return one of the items. I asked him if he was serious. I was also told that I could go to the Smartparts website and get the second rebate through them. I'll try that, but don't have my hopes up. This is NOT my first bad experience with Circuit City, but it will be my last!

Economic damage: $20. Physical damage, none. Emotional damage: serious. Businesses who use tactics such as rebates as incentives to get customers to buy from them should not be allowed to put so many requirements (such as the UPC from the package) and restrictions (and limitations) on them as to make it so difficult or impossible to get the incentive.

I purchased a laptop on-line for in store pick-up. The price listed two eligible rebates totaling $80. I completed the forms, attached all the documents, and mailed them in. I just received a denial on both rebates because I purchase the laptop one day before the rebate period began. It seems to me that rebates should not be listed in the purchase price before the rebate period begins. Very sleazy!

I purchased a computer and monitor that was advertised having a mail-in rebate of $180 from Circuit City. This is a Circuit City rebate, not a manufacturer rebate. The local Circuit City store provided all the material necessary for the rebate, and I sent the material with all original bar codes to the rebate center. The rebate center has repeatedly denied the issue of the $180 rebate. Here seems to be the issue. The local store sales representative with the department manager talked me into doing a $30 upgrade from a 17-inch monitor to a 19-inch monitor. The rebate was for a desktop computer and monitor package (pkg. # 000000028268); this package number is listed on the receipt. The receipt also shows the monitor and desktop listed separately and that seems to be the issue. The rebate center will not accept the package due to the separate itemizing.

On 09/15/07 I talked with the local store manager (Andrew), and he said that there is no reason for the rebate to be denied. Andrew also said he has little to no influence at the corporate level. I have called 5 times to the rebate center and once to the local store trying to resolve this issue. The last time I asked to talk to a supervisor at the rebate center giving him a full explanation of the sale and once again was told SORRY! I have copies of all the info sent to Circuit City and the customer receipt on file. I HAVE DONE ALL THEY ASKED AND STILL AM DENIED THE REBATE.

I would very much like to receive the rebate advertised in both the store and nationally. Had I been told that the upgrade would jeopardize the rebate I would not have upgraded the Monitor or would have purchased it elsewhere. This is very highly deceptive advertising, and the very least that should happen is a warning so others are not taken advantage of. I suspect if this happened to me it has happened to others as well. I have lost $180 and many hours on the phone.

I found a "black Friday" ad for a computer in at Circuit City for $229.97, including an instant savings of $470. I decided to stand in line at Circuit City in Nyack, NY. When I arrived at 6 pm there were 13 people in line. I waited for the store to open at 5 am and received my ticket for the computer I wanted. Upon attempting to pay for the computer, I was being charged $550.00. I then showed them my ad. They then pulled out a copy of the ad they had that showed $229.97 but after $220 instant savings and $250 mail in rebate. Nothing in my ad mentioned mail-in rebate. The manager was then called over and other people in line who had the same ad became irate.

The manager found out after contacting his corporate headquarters that 2 seperate ads were printed. One was for NJ and 1 was for NY. I advised that there is nothing on the ad stating that it was for a specific state. They refused to give me the instant savings. On top of that I discovered when I got home that the rebate they gave me was for only $170. I waited in line for 12 hours for a deal that was not true and was shorted $60 in rebates.

Circuit City promised me a $50 rebate on a computer and have thus failed to make available to me a readable rebate form.

I lost the $50 and time and energy in unsuccessfully pursuing this issue.

I purchased a complete Compaq computer package from Circuit City on 06-05-2007 and was supposed to get a $170.00 rebate. I haven't received anything to this date.

They say they never got the paperwork and that the offer is now expired and thus cant do anything for me but apologize.I went into the store where I bought my computer and showed the Mgr all my paperwork and the copies. I also showed him that I did receive only $45. (after waiting 4 months) back of the promised $345. All of my rebates were mailed on the same day -one week after purchase.

I now own a printer which I didnt need - told them I didnt want to purchase but they insisted it was part of the purchase of a new notebook. I also got a router, software, and which also wasnot asked for or needed but I paid for in order to get the notebook. Thus Im out $300.and have extra stuff not needed. The cost of the printer ink is $22.=4xs more than the ink for my other printer.

bought item from circuit city last november where they promised a rebate. so far nothing. contacted ag office in california where rebate processed and michigan where item bought. nothing.

I was offered a $100.00 rebate on the H.P. computer monitor. It has been four months since receiving e-mail claiming check would take six weeks. Nothing since then. called telephone numbers given to me by Circuit City. I called this number twice daily for FIVE DAYS only to be given the run around.

A newspaper ad showed an HP PC for $198 plus $99 shipping. It said there was a $180 mfr rebate, a $120 instant savings and $150 circuit city rebate. I went to the store with the ad and asked for the product with a few upgrades mentioned in the add. A written quote showed $280 in rebates. They sent me home with some rebate forms. I now realize that only $130 of rebates apply. The ad said $330 of rebates, which is what I based my decision to purchase on.

I bought a Sony PCVRZ24G for $1699.99 with an advertisement of $100.00 rebate on 03/18/03. To date, I have not received any rebate even after resubmitting a serial number, UPC barcode and a P/N number. If I do not get this rebate, then I will sue both Sony and Circuit City for selling products using false advertisement.

In April purchased Sony VAIO computer, Sony 15 inch flat screen monitor and HP combination fax/printer. I was told by the store manager to be sure to mail in the rebate coupons along with the UPC bar codes for my rebate of $150.00. This was done. It is now December 2003 and no sign of the rebate. While the computer has operated very well, I don't appreciate the dishonesty of Sony Rebate, purchases in the near future will not be a Sony product.

Sent rebate information for Sony Dream System. They sent back a note saying I did not have the bar code. Bull! They did not send me any of my orginal information back to me other than this note. I suggest to anyone, not to purchase anything that says it has a rebate. They will not pay you unless you get an attorney which I have in the past and will do again on this item.
