In November 2008, I purchased an HP 6305 printer from Staples for $200. I was told that if I purchased an extended two-year additional warranty, I could exchange the printer within the three years. In October 2011, I returned to the Staples Goodyear store for a replacement, since the printer would not function anymore. I was then informed that the two-year additional warranty was not additional to the one-year manufacturer's warranty, but was for a total period of two years - very different from what I was told at the time of the purchase. I specifically wrote on my file for the printer that I paid for a full three-year warranty. The GM of the store would not assist me in any way other than to offer me a credit of $50 toward their most expensive (and unnecessary) $300 HP printer. I emailed Staples Corporate to complain of the situation, and a Scott ** from the office of the "president" turned down my claim and offered no remedy. I will never purchase anything again from Staples, and have told my entire community not to use Staples.
Consumer Complaints & Reviews

I purchased a fax machine 11/99 & an extended warranty. The machine stopped working. I called the warranty co. and they said they would replace 2/14 by Staples. We never received on 2/14, I called and they said it would be here on 2/19. I called today and they said it would be here 2/24. We are a very busy doctors office and critical results get faxed over on a daily basis, therefore I needed the fax machine 2 weeks ago when it broke down! I have been on the phone endless hours trying to resolve this and still no one is able to help me.
