After I was given Keppra, in Brandywine Hospital, Coatesville Pa. I immediately had a seizure. I was never given this drug before for seizures, and it caused me to have a seizure, and other complications, I am allergic to Dilatian. I was already on phenobarbital, I know the drug companies really push keppra, but it was not the right thing for me. Keppra needs much more investigation before pushing it on someone.
Within minutes of taking keppra, I was released from the hospital, when I was walking down the hall I had another very strong seizure, the worse I've ever had in 44 years. I fell, hit my head and back on the very hard floor. Received a concussion and had major back problems. I own a construction business, it is now almost 2 months since this happened and I am still unable to function properly. It is affecting my work, my livlihood and my physical well being. AT 44 I am a mess thanks to Keppra and Brandywine hosptial. My back is having major problems.
