Consumer Complaints & Reviews

This is a web site for people who need extra money, and I recently graduated from high school. I am going to start college in about a month and a half and I need extra money. This website announces that they have many grants to give out.Since I really need it, my dad thought it would be a good idea to sign up, so I did. they were supposed to charge me $1.95 to sign up for it. It is all online and when I tried to log in, it would not let me, and it just said that I did not have an account. I called to cancel my "services" and yes, I was able to easily cancel the account but about 1 hour before the cancellation was confirmed, I was charged almost $60.

It was the monthly charge that I would be receiving while trying to log on to a useless web site. I called to ask for my money back; they can only give me $40 back but I will get that in about a month. There is no promise I will receive anything back. Well, first my mother got mad at me, and I lost about $60 that I was not counting on losing; I have to pay $500 to my college to reserve my dorm room for a year and now I'm forced to ask my mom to borrow that money.

In August of 2009, I was confronted with a pop up banner from grantsmoney.com. I am on disability so I thought that I would look at the site for possible grants I may be eligible for. I ordered their kit which never came in the mail, and I forgot all about it. My wife pays the bills so I never see the Visa statements. In February 2010, I happened to look at a statement out of curiosity. I was shocked to see a deduction from my Visa of $63. I looked further into my statements and found that I have been a member since August 2009.

Grantsmoney.com took over $450 from my Visa account. I investigated the site and found that it has been under investigation of the RCMP Anti-Fraud division for some time now, as well as The Federal Trades Commission. There are thousands upon thousands of Canadians who have been scammed just like myself. All I wanted was a helpful kit from these people and instead I was scammed because I didn't go through a huge conglomerate of information they refer to as an agreement.

I was trying to get help for some home repair because I have cancer and have trouble breathing and now my mother-in-law had moved in with us and she is wheelchair bound. I know that there are bad people out their but this is really bad when you have trouble making ends meet as they get you charged for something you didn't even ask if you could be charged.

Out of all but $58.00 that I didn't have to give away and still don't have an answer as what to do. Now I have to worry about what else they will do and but a lot of stress in our life.

I am livid. These people have been taking $69.00 per month off of my Visa since August 2009. My wife looks after the bills and overlooked this information on our Visa statements. I just noticed it now and these people have taken me for close to $500.00. I vaguely remember some responding to a pop-up banner and that is when it all started. I would like to know why these people still have an internet site when we are supposed to be protected from these sites, yet I have read one site after another with regards to this site. I am on disability and my wife is unemployed. $500.00 dollars goes a long way when you have nothing.

On 9/11/09 I saw an ad for a job on Yahoojobs I clicked to apply. I paid $1.95 for info. My bank called me on 9/12/09 and told me this was a scam and to call Grantsmoney immediately to cancel which I did. On 9/13/09 I checked my credit card balance and found that grantsmoney had charged me an additional $57.65 after I made the call to cancel. I called them to complain and got nowhere with them.

Your Homepage is advertising a scam on how consumers can receive grants from the Canadian government.

A simple check on a search engine will reveal how many people have been ripped-off by grantsmoney or canadakits.

the cnadian granrs scam is alive and well. I was scammed about two months ago and now see the same ad running ion et online and the cbs website unde er various names. IT IS A SCAM!!

They do not deliver anything, they do not have a website and theyu do not deliver a product, they just milk you credit card or bank account and will continue to scam people. I just saw an ad with the CBS logo beside the latest scam "Grantsmoney" CBS is supporting fraud..No one thinks that anyone on the CBS website will defarud them. I was defrauded from a google website....no one cares as long as they get paid for the ad.

scooped $68 twice from my account which I cannot reclaim from my Credit card apparently because I approved a charge to my card.
