I purchased a PurpleCorvette from Toys R Us last August 2008. The wiring got hot and the safety recall from the previous year indicate an issue. Parts are on "back-order" to correct the prolem. E-mails and correspondance to get parts from Kid Trax is not existant. Dorel experienced this issue and recalled 141,000 Safety 1st and Kid Trax battery powered ride-on toy vehicles.
