Me and my fiance were contacted by kids.com regarding out daughter Lillian. They said that she had come to their attention and met the criterion to become a model. We scheduled an appointment with a representative that said his name was Ed. We were to pay a 595.00 booking fee and 20.00 to the photographer to get lillian started modeling and that she would start right away. We had her first pictures taken, when it took so long for the company to post the pictures to the site we began to wonder about the character of the company. I tried to call to request a refund and found that the phone number was disconnected, yet the company had cashed the checks I had provided them. I went to the office once to find that it was dark and no one was there. I just now found the articles reporting their scam and am hoping to find some justice for me and my daughter.
We are low income individuals that risked our savings to promote our daughter into what we believed to be a positive experience. Kids.com took advantage of us and exploited us for our time and hard earned money. they wasted our time and placed us in a precarious financila situation.
