I went on a 2 week vacation and did not receive my luggage until I was returning home. I filled out a claim for the purchases I had to make while at the airport and was told months later that I needed the ticket# to process my claim. Due to the lemgth of time that had passed since my trip, the ticket# was dificult to locate. I sent it in when I got it and was then sent a letter stating that the time frame for processing my claim had lapsed and therefore I would not receive any compensation.
I went to the Virgin Islands on a 2 week vacation over the Christmas holidays to attend a wedding. Not having my luggae with all my clothes for the occassions I had to attend and the gifts I brought for friends and family was an EXTREME hardship and really ruined my trip.
