Crosby Tours

Consumer Complaints & Reviews

They owe me approximately $115 and I have documented proof if you need it.

In July 2009 we decided to go on a trip for our fourth wedding anniversary. So we booked a trip with Crosby Tours to Niagara Falls USA on August 21-24. We sent our initial payment of $200.00 with my debit card. We sent our balance of $598.00 by money order on July 15. We were sent our reservation confirmation putting us in seat#21 and seat#22. On August 18, I received a telephone message on my answering machine from Eveline R. She said that unfortunately, the trip had been canceled at this time. She mentioned that a letter had been sent about this situation. I finally received that letter on August 20 but the letter was dated for August 12.

On August 21, I called Crosby Tours around 9:30am. At that time I spoke to Ms. Eveline, she asked me if I wanted to book another tour in place of my canceled trip or get a refund. I chose the refund. At present time I called every day trying to get a refund so that I could go somewhere else for my anniversary. All I got, was that accounting was working on the refunds. My husband and I got hearing excuses so we went to Crosby Tours.

During that time, we spoke to Ms. Eveline and another reservation agent who proceeded to explain to us that accounting was not in and that the owner's son, Frank Jr. was out ill. We left but continued to call every week. On October 20, we received a letter from the owner telling us that we would get a refund in 6-8 weeks but as you can see we are still waiting for the refund that is due to us.

Credit card credit never received for canceled trip from Sept 2009. No response from any type of contact made. It appears that their website has been closed down or not responsive. I am a senior citizen. No matter what the amount, I would have liked my money back. I had budgeted my funds to take my daughter on a day trip to thank her for always being helpful and respectful to me.

Booked a 5-day, 3-city trip to Canada which one week before departure, agency cancelled and offered a 4-day trip to Montreal and Quebec with a refund and $30 additional. This was August 24. Called a number of times and left a message for Frank, the accountant. The receptionist stated they were working on refund. Received a letter in Oct., refunds will be giving out. No one answered phone after that. Saw a piece on line-channel one on the agency taking money with no trip. Reporting this to you and just filled out a complaint for my neighbor and myself to the Attorney General. My neighbor is on Social Security and I work for a non-profit organization and work hard for my money which is not much.

I made a reservation with Crosby Tours for their Litchfield Fall Foliage tour on October 24th, 2009, departing from Hoboken, NJ at 8:00 a.m. The preceding day, on October 23rd, I received a phone call informing me that the trip was cancelled due to some bus problem. I requested the caller to please have the cost for the trip credited to my Visa card. The charge for the one-day trip ($89.00) was on my November statement. There has been no refund by Crosby Tours during the following months and they do not respond to telephone calls or emails. I am a senior citizen with limited income, so the loss of this money without the benefit of the one trip I hoped for this past year is distressful. I am at least glad that I received a call notifying me that the trip was cancelled. A friend who was going with me was not notified that the trip was cancelled and didn't know about it until I called her.

I am a tour guide in Chicago. Monica called me (using a Chicago Tour Professional list) on August 8th "begging me to take a group on a City tour on the 10th." Her regular tour company was closed on that day and needed a City Tour for her group on Monday, the 10th. My fee was $100. for the 4 hour tour, payable by check or cash. The Bus tour leader was "Nadine" and we met at the Hampton Inn Hotel. When I called them for payment I was told there was a "small financial" problem and that it would be a week for the checks to be sent. Needless to say, I am still waiting, they no longer answer their phones or e-mails.

I booked two day trips with Crosby Tours, one in October and one in December. Neither one ever took place. The first was cancelled the day before, the second one, the bus never showed up. They have not refunded my charge card and refuse to answer their phone. This business is a sham.

On Tuesday, December 8, 2009, I used the online website for Crosby Tours to book a trip to Longwood gardens for Saturday, December 12,2009.

I received no acknowledgement, nor did anyone answer phones on Thursday, December 10 or Friday the 11th. I followed up with 2 emails on the afternoon of the 11th and checked my mail.

I was forced to go into Manhattan without knowing whether I was booked. Once there I encountered over a dozen people who had waited as much as an hour for other tours booked to depart.

A young woman in the Burger King where the bus usually department from told me that people had been waiting fruitlessly for tours for 2 months. Several people showed me written confirmations for tours that they had booked as far back as November and no one had contact them to tell them the tours were cancelled so they could rebook elsewhere.

I booked a trip with this company going to Penn Dutch Amish country. i paid $164.00. they called the day before the trip and cancelled. since then I have been trying to get a refund. No one answers the phones or emails that I have sent over the last few weeks. I took a walk over to their office since they are only 4 blocks away. It was locked up tighter than a drum. no one anwers the bell and it is dark and deserted looking.

I would appreciate some help since as a Senior Citizen that is alot of money to me. I don't see any light at the end of the tunnel. How can they do this to people who trusted them over the years. This is alot of money to me and it is Christmas time and money is tight for Seniors. I can pay other bills with this money

I paid for two trips to Maine with Crosby Tours $1098.00 leaving on thanksgiving day. To our surprise no buses turn up to pick up any passengers. we were left stranded. please can you do something about this company.I need my money back

I book a three day tour with Crosby tour for Nov, 26 thru 28 2009. the pickup was at 9:00 am in manhattan at 32th st. and 33th st 5th ave. I got there at 8:00 am. waited util 10:30 am crosby tour bus did not come. I did not receive a call on my home phone or cell h\pnone saying the trip was cancel. this trip was paid with my credit card for 539.0o dollars.

My sister and I booked and paid fkor a weekend tour to Salem Mass. We went to manhatten to the pick up location the pick up time 7:15 AM waited until 9:30am tried to call the office no response then sometimes the answering message would just disconnect the call. took a taxi to Brooklyn to the office with another customer for a 9:00am pick up to Montreal which also didnt come. The office was closed and looks abandoned. We looked up reviews on line and other people have had the same thing happen to them and also think the company is no longer in bussiness.
