I was in San Diego on business. As a lawyer, my business trips are often cut short because what ever we are working on takes less time than we expect. I checked out a day early because my business there was finished. I was charged for a full night, $287. I was not warned of this policy when I was checking out, and I was not advised of the policy when I was making reservations. I have never stayed at a hotel that charges a full night for an early departure. Even the airline will change any ticket for $100.
This is after 3 of us stayed at their hotel for 4 nights, paid $11, sometimes twice in one day for internet access and paid $16 for an 8 oz bottle of contact solution in the gift shop.

I have never dealt with a hotel so hostile and unaccomodating. I will never stay at a Starwood hotel again and I am looking into taking legal action. I can't believe a company willingly treats customers like this on a regular basis and as a matter of policy.
