Northern Illinois Gas Company presented a "level payment plan" bill for the new heating season - starting in June, 2000 - that was increased by 46%.
When I called the billing area of Nicor to tell them about the possible error in calculation, I was told the bill was not in error and was due to a price increase. I don't remember seeing anything in the news about this.Is it legal to raise their prices that much? Has anyone challenged this?
