Refused to deliver any more oil unless I paid to replace the whistle that signals a full tank. Our position was that the whistle was something that the company needed and as such, they should do that. They refused, and said they would not deliver any more oil to me. I agreed and found another oil company. Now they want me to pay $1,516.57. We contacted another oil company, and they replaced the full tank whistle at no cost. It took the repairman 15 minutes. All this after S&S was our oil provider for five years.

S&S Fuel Company of North Babylon, NY lied to me about my ceiling price not being locked. They told me it was a capped price and is only there so the price of my fuel oil will not exceed that price. That was when oil was 140 dollars a barrel. Now that it has gone down 100 dollars a barrel they tell me that its a capped price and I have to pay that amount. They are very argumentive on the phone and they try to imtimidate you by telling me they would cut off oil deliveries and make sure my burner doesnt work.

They have been servicing my oil burner & in return I have purchased my heating oil from them. Recently my burner acted up and they said they will not service it because it's unsafe. I had the manufacture confirm it was repairable and had to hire another oil company to fix the burner that S&S refused to work on. I called for service on Friday 3:00AM and they finally told me at 4:30PM they will not work on it while they led me to believe someone is comming to work on it. They claimed it was unsafe to operate and told me they could not touch it and could not install a new one until Tuesday after a bad snow storm predicted for Saturday. They had informed me that they will no longer service the burner but I am obligated to purchase oil from them.
I had to pay $129.00 per hr plus parts in order for the new oil company to get the boiler running and safely operating. I also feel that they no longer held up to their agreement by not servicint the unit and theirfor should not try and force me to purchase their oil from them. Arlene seemed to agree with this and stated that S&S could not enforce anything since we don't have a signed contract from me. I wrote her a letter acknowleding this and parting at no cost to me (Homeowner) or to S&S Fuel. She would not agree when I followed my written lette.
