I paid Eventus a $100 deposit to be my disk jockey at my December 4, 1999 wedding. I gave him this deposit on August 13, 1998. I spoke to him once in between and he told me that when we get closer we can finalize things.
I called him the beginning of November 1999 and all phone numbers listed on his letterhead had been disconnected or changed to non-published numbers. I then went to his website and sent him two e-mails. I still have received no response from him.
After panicking for two weeks waiting for him to call me I had to try and find a disc jockey 2 weeks before my wedding! That was probable the worst thing. As if I didn't have enough going on. He also took my deposit. It wasn't very much, but when you are on a budget $100 is two more guests at my wedding.
