Consumer Complaints & Reviews

The product I ordered was an online promotion for medical billing at home. I paid the amount owed. When I received the package, the program did not work properly and Medicor could not be reached by phone or u.s. mail. I heard there was a class action against them and was mailed the paperwork to fill out and return by a certain date. I did so, within the time limit and have not heard anything since. I have check several times over the years and cannot get any information. I was involved in a near fatal car accident in 2003 and am just now getting back into the "loop". I was just wondering how this case is going.

Called, informed me she was calling for MediCor Collection Agency. Informed me that I that they were collecting for a medical bill. I queried as to what doctor.

She demanded that I give her my birthdate and social security number. Naturally, as a senior citizen, I refused. She became very arrogant and demeaning.

I informed her that I have not received any mailing from them. She then informed me that they had the wrong address and all mailing were returned.

I informed her that I would work through the Attorney's General Office of Oklahoma as I was never noftified of a past due account. She again demanded my personal info. I gave her my last four digits of my social.

She, nastily, gave the infomation as to the doctor. I told her that we tried to contact the hospital on several occassions as they never filed for Medicar. She said that they would and shouted tnx.

Very rude, demanding and talked down to me when the problem was not mine as the hospital copied my driver license and Medicare card.

I have searched the internet for their Texas address but could only find the CA one. I would like to file a complaint with Oklahoma's Attory's General.

I purchased this product in Janu 2000 and was not able to use the product immediately due to a death in the family. I recently tried to phone the company to get some help with the software, but the phone was disconnected.I did some internet research to try to find the company and came acrossed an article regarding to a "medical billing scam" by this company. I too, am one of many who paid $375.00 and would like to be compensated for a product that was mis represented.

THey took my money (check for 219.00)and i never got my medical billing software. I would like to sue for my money and mental anguise. This was something i really wanted to do. I've been waiting for some one to call me,no one did. I feel that i'm entitled to have my money back plus some more.

Ordered product to start medical billing at home. Purchased in 2/18/01, was never able to complete course when they were shut down. Total amount paid was $266.95 paid by credit card.

i purchased this medical billing software and they said that they would have online support, guaranteed to make alot of money and clientale (doctors). there is no referal number or clearinghouse.

I also purchased their Kwic-Claim Home Medial Billing program for $377.00 and was ripped off. How do I get my money back from them?

I just found out about this action. I bought this back a few years ago as we have custody of my husbands grandson with lots of emotional problems and I was going to stay at home to take care of him. It promised that I would make up to #$40,000 per year and more. Physician help, etc and none of this happened, so I just thought that I had made a stupid choice and had been misled and that was all that I could do. I spent $377 for this I believe, do not have the invoice in front of me, but I do have this. I do not know if anything came of the suit, just wanted you to know that there is another person out there who was take advantage of.

I purchased the billing information at the end of 1999. They were advertising in our local newspaper and it sounded good so I ordered the info. When I tried contacting the doctors, no one would talk to me. I called them and they said to keep trying. I have yet to get any doctors to bill for.

Sold me some defective and non profitable merchandise under the impression I could make big money

I bought Kwic-Claim Medical Billing software from Medicor, L.L.C. on February 11, 2000. I had not had the resources to start this program until recently. I called my customer number and could get no answer. When I checked the web site I was shocked to find that the FTC had filed a suit against them. I am wanting to know if there is anyway that I can get the $377.00 back that I paid for the software.

I saw the ad on television and because I wanted to supplement my income I called and inquired about the program.
I am a medical biller by profession so I was very aware of what I was doing. I knew all the questions to ask and I asked them. I knew that it would be difficult to get the doctors but that was not a concern because I work with some. I was concerned about the program and the clearinghouse information that the ad said they were connected to. I asked all the questions trying to secure the truth and not get ripped off. When I thought they were on the up and up I went ahead and borrowed the money and ordered the program. From the time I recieved the program I had trouble loading on my computer. I did not get all the programs needed to run a medical billing company from home. I was not able to access the physicians data base I was not able to access the claim forms or even the needed codes.

the only things I could get were the letters and the medical terminology.

When I called the phone number provided for assistance it was out of order.

I even purchased a new computer thinking that maybe it had something to do with my system. I was still unable to access the progam. I have not been able to use this 500.00 medical billing progam and now I am not only out of that money but also the money I spent on a dedicated computer.

I also bought the Medicor Medical Claim business, I to was a stay at home mom looking for work to do out of my home at the time I purchased the software. They told me that I to would get all the support that I needed from them. I also went through everything that they told me to do. They said oh we have several people doing the business just fine that I should just keep sending out letters. So finally I gave it one last chance to speak with a manager or at least I thought he was a manager, he yelled at me telling me I wasn't trying good enough and that if you don't go out and cold call and send letters etc. which I was doing I spent money on top of money going out calling buying fax machines calling drs. offices etc. with no luck. But anyway I got this letter that said their was a civil action suite against them so I gathered all the information that I had and filled out the form to the name and address on the suite form sent it out just to have the whole thing sent back to me so know I don't know if I'm still capable of receiving my money back from the case to. I kept the envelope that was returned to sender with what was stamped on the envelope that I origianlly sent out! It was before the date that I had to get the claim by.

I was lured into buying medical equipment for billing and found out it was a fraud. I never got my money back. I have a bank statement to prove it.

I was scammed by Medicor, as many others have been also, I would like to find out how I can get my money back, if that is even possible. I purchased the software after responding to an ad in a local newspaper, only to find out several days later that it was a scam.

I purchased the KWIC claims product with intent of starting a home based medical billing with my VISA charge card.

I read a help wanted ad in the local paper the ad read make $20-40/per hour doing medical claims for Dr. call 1-888-569-4608 and I did and the sales person gave me a great speach how I could earn all this money they said they would give me a database with Dr. names who wanted this service and they would help me become a succesful medical biller. I charged the software to my Discover card and was charged $397.00 After I recieved the information and software and did the traing with the disk I look for Dr. on the list and found that none of them were interested they did there own billing by paper or electronicly to the insurance companys them selves. No one was interested. I contacted Kwic-Claim and told I could not have a refund that I would just have to try harder. So I am with out $400 I could of used to pay bills. In fact Im still paying interest on the credit card for this scam.

i (over the phone) gave an electronic check for the medical billing software, which I still have and did not earn what was promised or even got a certificate.

I answered an ad that promoted medical billing from home and subsequently placed an order for the system. Upon receipt of the order, my daughter and I perused it, listed to the tape, installed the soft ware and began our quest for a work from home business. We found that any of the mailings were returned with no one known, deceased client and a myriad of other info and no contact was made with anyone in the more than 250 letters we sent out. i then attmepted to contact the company and they refused to do anything about it...At the next contact the phones were not answered. Upon going online I saw a letter of beginning with NOTICE and basically stating that medicor was under investigation. Small wonder. I feel like they stole my money and in their refusal to return it to me I would like to file claims for the refund of my hard earned cash. I feel they have misrepresented themselves to the public and had no intention of following through on any of their promises made to anyone.
